Blahr 0 #27 August 10, 2003 Yeah but... My feelings come from the fact that my wife and I are approximately the same age. My dad is 63, her dad is 86 and in failing health She spends a lot of time trying to figure out how she will get home for the funeral when he dies. People can die at any age but there are some undeniable facts here. When you have children very late in life (like Joan Lunden at 52) her kids are gonna be sweating her death from old age before they are even grown up all the way. Rhino is right. I'm sure the kids would choose to have their lives ifthey had a choice :-) I wouldnt have my wife if her dad didnt have kids late in the game. Its just a bummer to watch her dad dying of old age a good quarter of a century before I have to worry about mine. Barring any "unnatural" death, my folks will be around for a long time yet. bobsled92 0 #28 August 10, 2003 My Dad died of Young Age=Chem. exposure from E.O.D. His last mission went from ill to gone in 3mons. I'm glad he didn't put an AGE gap between us. I liked being very connected to him (still am). My son knows who his Great grandmother is (she's only 64/her side)_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
