freeflir29 0 #1 August 10, 2003 So....I went car shopping today. Only took me to the second lot to find something I wanted. Well....I found what I WANTED at the first lot. They had a barnd spanking new Subaru WRX sitting in the show room. I almost masturbated on the hood.....but managed to restrain myself. However, with a price tag of $32,982.00 I quickly lost the urge to buy it. Instead....I ended up with a very clean 99 Mitsubishi Galant. Damn nice lookin and has a pretty kick ass Blaupunkt CD player to boot. The 3.0 Liter 6 hauls ass and is rated at 27 MPG on the highway. It has power everything....I'm almost lost in there after driving my old 82 Jeep for 12 years. I sorta hated to part with my Jeep. It was kinda like being married to the thing. Oh well.......the new car is quickly making me forget about that rough ass ride on crappy Ohio roads.

freeflir29 0 #3 August 10, 2003 QuoteYour gonna love it when you start chucking it into the corners! Yeah...it seems to have a pretty tight suspension under it yet rides fairly soft. I'll be heading out to the DZ tomorrow and there are some NICE curves on the way.

wmw999 2,593 #6 August 10, 2003 I have a '95. My son, the MR2 driver, says it still corners really nicely Congrats on the ride. I love having a car I can afford. freeflir29 0 #7 August 10, 2003 QuoteI love having a car I can afford. Yep...I only paid a little over 10K for it. Even with a 50,000 mile warranty my payments are only $215 a month. Can't beat that with a STICK.

freeflir29 0 #16 August 11, 2003 Quote CJ5 or 7? CJ-7. Hard top and doors. Body was in pretty good shape. The floor had rusted pretty bad in places but I patched all the holes and then covered it with Herculiner. 60,000 miles on the motor, tranny was about 1 year old, 2 new drive shafts, Dana 300 transfer case, rear end was about 1 year old. (Crappy AMC 20!!) Anyway.....i might could have held out for more cash BUT....it's hard to say no to a $3,000 dollar check right in fronmt of you. Especially after test driving the Mitsubishi.
