QuoteI would never consider nipples or clit since it kills way too many nerve endings.
I've had zero loss of sensation from my nipple piercings.
Besides those I have my tongue and a bunch in my ears. I'd get more in my facial arena if I didn't have to have a job. I'd get my navel done if I lost 8,000 lbs.

Quotehow many of you guys have body piercings ?
Belly, and used to have 3 in each ear, now only one.
The belly I've had for a year, still hasn't healed but I'm too stubborn to remove it

I have finally decided on a tattoo however, so I will get that soon.
Friend of a friend had her hood pierced and claimed she had to change her panties 4 times a day. Anyone?

They are fun, I think I want more, but i'm not sure about that. I don't like the eyebrow pierced, but i love the Nose one a lot. Belly bottom are sexy on girls.

Mine took about 6 months to heal. I had to spray that Bactine spray right in the hole, sometimes twice a day when it got really red. It brought more tears to my eyes then when I got the piercing, but it worked to heal it. I think some other people told me that sea salts worked for them.

and left side of my nose.
Wanted to get the belly done, but it takes too long to heal. My nose took forever as it is!
For the guys: I love the eyebrow piercings, but you have to have the right face for it or it doesn't look good, and also have to have the right size jewelry.
Pierced Nipples on guys are WAY sexy!

1) Zero piercings
2) Zero tattoos
3) Zero brandings

I just don't think they'll look right on me. They don't fit my personality. I'm square!

Quoteso what do guys think of a lip ring? more of a labret, no ring, just a ball on the center of the lips?
here's a pic so you can see if it would fit me.
hell yes, sexy as hell... however, to do just the ball on the lip, and nothing below the lip, you'd do what's called an inverse vertical labret, the other side of the barbell comes out inside your mouth, those can be bad for you gums and teeth (which is why i very rarely wear my labret anymore)
another option is a plain vertical labret (which i also have) where you have a ball on your lip, and another about where a normal labret piercing is, still very sexy, and better for your gums/teeth.
(p.s. the medusa in that picture is also rather sexy IMHO)

in denver, i go to a place called twisted sol... a very good, clean shop w/ piercers that have a lot of experience doing surface piercings like this.
if you want something like this, make sure the shop is clean, and check the portfolio of the piercer. they should have a lot of experience, and use a surface bar rather than a straight or curved barbell.
(edit to add: this is me right after getting my transverse lobe done (my hair looks much better now

QuoteI've used alcohol (rubbing or ethel - but ethel works better) on all my piercings. They've all healed in half the specified time.
alcohol (and bactine for that matter) aren't good for piercings. they dry out the piercings and alcohol also irritates it which generally cause a longer heal time and an uncomfortable piercing (you got lucky i guess

sea salt solution is definitily the way to go. (1/4 teaspoon sea salt per 8 oz water)
check out bme for a ton of good info on piercing care and for some pictures. (esp. check out the QOD portion)

It's not as horrific as it sounds, and you shouldn't be looking when they do it. You should be leaning back in a chair, staring at the ceiling, and the piercer (is that a word?) will tell you to take a deep breath. By the time you breathe in, it's over and you can exhale. I don't think the sting was any worse than getting my ears pierced; it's just that you have to be careful with waistbands for awhile...

Quote(you got lucky i guess )
I've had a total of 6 piercings; 5 of them I've used alcohol to clean. You can call it luck if you want, but I call it success. I had more trouble with salt solution, and other recommened methods of cleansing. That's why I went with alcohol. Doctor's I've asked said there was nothing wrong with using alcohol.

I used alcohol as well...sometimes, when the piercing is infected or pussing, it's kind of a good thing to dry it out. The alcohol helped more than anything else I tried...

i'm glad it works for you guys, i know i've also used dial anti-bacterial, w/ good results, even tho it's also not really recommended (also becuase it dries), so i guess it boils down to everyones body is a bit different

Damn dude....you're more of a masochist than I am!! I don't mind the alcohol - it's just the first 30 seconds that make it all NOT worth it!
I use Bactine (have for 15 years now!) and it ROCKS!! Available everywhere and CHEAP!! Plus - it's instant soothing!

I agree with that too...it was always a good solution when I went to work and forgot to take any other products with me--there was always the soap in the bathroom to work with!

Ahhh! You're right! I'll go back and change that! It was the third hole that hurt the worst out of all my piercings. The cartilage healed the slowest, and it got the most infected. I wouldn't get either piercing (third or cartilage) again.
