kansasskydiver 0 #1 August 15, 2003 So we're thinking of bringing a porter down to our dz sometime, but we don't have Jet-A at our dz. We came up with the idea of B.Y.O.F We'll supply the milk jugs, bring 2 gallons per jumper per load plus $17 to alt. Think it would work lol<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! kevin922 0 #7 August 15, 2003 is this a joke? Seems like to me you run a large risk of contamination.. you don't have any quality control on the fuel that is coming.. seems a wee bit risky considering all the incidents i've read having to do with fuel contamination.. maybe this was a joke
bmcd308 0 #8 August 15, 2003 I think it almost has to be a joke. If I saw a big group of skydivers, each carrying two gallon jugs of what might be a flammable liquid, I'd want to be NOWHERE in the area. That's 2 legs of the Triangle of Doom. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

bmcd308 0 #10 August 15, 2003 I know a Jill, but she's Jill H. to me. I would not think she would talk about me, as we don't really jump together all that often - she primarily flies camera. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Now...it only gets dangerous when the military grade explosives come out.
bmcd308 0 #12 August 15, 2003 It's a regular occurrence in Tennessee, too. And trust me, it's dangerous LONG before the explosives come out (even though it is MORE dangerous once they do). freeflir29 0 #13 August 15, 2003 QuoteAnd trust me, it's dangerous LONG before the explosives come out I used to skydive quite a bit with the "Chattanooga Posse." They are plenty dangerous just while skydiving.

freeflir29 0 #15 August 15, 2003 QuoteWho are the Chattanooga posse? There's quite a few that used to hit the boogies in Georgia. Lyle and Travis Stewart I have many jumps with and Terry (Don't remember his last name) Flies a red and black Xaos 21. Of course Chris and Beezy from Precision. The 1/2 DZO of SD Atlanta is from C-town. Tim Merrick. There's "Cowboy" of Cowboy Video Productions. I made my first jump at Rantoul last year with a bunch of them. It was a 9 way tube dive and I had only jumped with about 3 of the people before. What fun!!! Many that I have met but alcohol has blurred their names from memory. freeflir29 0 #17 August 15, 2003 QuoteI'm going to try to look these guys up and visit a new dz. That would be a good thing. A lot of very cool skydivers from TN. If you are anywhere near Atlanta on the first weekend of November SD Atlanta ( In Thomaston) throws a KILLER boogie. Usually several of these guys show up. There's also at least a couple more from the Knoxville area too.
