what the hell is wrong with us? (or is this girl fat?)

Recommended Posts

I sure hope she isn't fat. It would put me somewhere around "morbidly obese" (which, trust me, I'm not)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

What worries me about that add, is that it could set a trend. In a years time every girl will want to lose weight on her right thigh (look at the picture...her left thigh is okay according to the dotted line)

Women with one perfect left thigh and one sknny right thigh are not nice....I want them the same size...and if possible, I do like to hold something...not just skin and bones...

Nope, definately not fat.

I'm sure it's an effective ad, tho - It targets peoples insecurities. After all, EVERYBODY thinks they could shed a pound or two...

If they only advertise to people who DO need to lose weight, they're seriously limitinig their market. By targetting EVERYONE, they've got a whole lot more clients available.

My first impression was to slam the ad makers. She is no where near needing to loose the curves. Might be a matter of taste with me. That woman is just fine the way she is B| hmm hmm yummy yummy

Ya know, I keep seeing that same ad (and another similar one) in my Yahoo mail... and I'm thinking the same thing... What the hell??? Looks like she has a perfect body to me... Guess they're so desperate to make money that they're targeting women who don't even need to lose weight - pretty sad!

Sky,

I want to thank you for posting this!

It's nice to know that there are people out there that realize stick figures, twigs, plastic body parts, etc. are not what real women are. Some real women have curves and confronted with media all our lives insisting that we stop being what our bodies naturally are set us up with major body issues.
