airann 1 #1 August 18, 2003 I was minding my own business eating some Lucky Charms and my teeth hit something hard. Yup, it was the ball from my tongue post. It came out and rolled into the black hole of the couch. So that was a lost cause. We all looked for it for several minutes. Finally we thought we had it - Nope that came out of the skyball. I tried to find this other one I had here at home and I found it and then it slipped away also never to be found. It was yellow and on beige carpet, nope. Now what.... Its Sunday around 7am..... No place where I could buy another one would be open till at the earliest 12:00. I tried the backs of earrings. - Nope An eraser. - Uh.... no, wrong flavor What did work was hot glue. Just a small shot or drop of hot glue on a repellent surface then just before it cools all the way, jab it on there. If you wait too long its too hard to work with. This allowed me to chill out till (today) Monday and get new titanium stuff. Now everything matches. ~AirAnn~

kris12 0 #3 August 18, 2003 That's the most ingenious way I have ever heard of to replace a barbell ball! That's awesome. I will keep it in mind if it ever happens to me. I like my big silver balls and would not like to lose them. Did you get colored titanium? kristen swooo #3 MB #3587 P.M.S. #66 "so let go, jump in...what're you waiting for? it's all right 'cause there's beauty in the breakdown"

kris12 0 #5 August 18, 2003 the only problem is that they aren't magnetic.... surgical stainless steel anyway (mine have been near some pretty darn big magnets and nothing has happened...) kristen swooo #3 MB #3587 P.M.S. #66 "so let go, jump in...what're you waiting for? it's all right 'cause there's beauty in the breakdown"
BobB 0 #6 August 18, 2003 QuoteWhat did work was hot glue. I read this and thought "Damn, that's hardcore." Then I read the next line about letting it cool on a surface first. Yes, I know it is snowing. No, we are not putting the top up.
airann 1 #7 August 18, 2003 QuoteI like my big silver balls Uh, ... Ok.. Yeah, I did get colored Titanium. Everything is green. I bought all new gear. belly, nose and tongue. I think I like the green one in my tongue. It makes my teeth look whiter! Not so much green anymore... LOL ~AirAnn~

kris12 0 #9 August 19, 2003 I suppose that I should clarify that I have a 6 gauge stainless steel tongue barbell and the balls on the ends of it are huge.... gotta make sure it doesn't slip through my tongue when I play with it (it happened when I had a 12 gauge in there.... kind of worrisome...) Edited to add: it was funnier when I had blue titanium balls on my barbell. kristen swooo #3 MB #3587 P.M.S. #66 "so let go, jump in...what're you waiting for? it's all right 'cause there's beauty in the breakdown"

Tonto 1 #11 August 19, 2003 Been there... but I went home and replaced the Stainless with a Titanium stud I had at home. The Titanium was a much bigger guage, so I had to screw it in. Hurt a bit. Back to stainless now - can't find a short bar for Titanium here... tIt's the year of the Pig.
