Another dz.commer suggested this, but I was highly skeptical and waited until after I had tried all the other recommended approaches with less than satisfactory results. A good dishwashing, sans dishes, should give you at least one month of fresh-smelling Tevas, just don't share this information with your houseguests. D. I wear nothing but Chuck's ( converse ) and I occasionally wear them w/no socks. I think that is the greatest common denominator. Throw em in the damned washing machine w/some soap and let them dry. I do agree that wearing socks with Tevas looks dorky, but it is better than having stinky feet. Now I'm watching an ITT Tech commercial with a college drop out that does yoga, and enjoys driving her car whose parents didn't believe she could make it, now she's making it, and having moments of deep thought and satisfaction in her apartments back patio... absolutely inspiring. They were cheaper than Rainbow's, I think I might need to give Oakley's a try here in the not too distant future. Had a pair of their clogs and they were too damn comfortable, got into a motorcycle accident and lost one of em though..... I have been wearing my Tevas for 10 straight days here in the hot and humid southeast and they stink baaaadddd... I am even developing a rash on the back of my left heel.. So I decided to wash them this morning in the hotel room. They are still wet and the left one squishes when I walk... And they still stink. So, lesson learned from this: If you have stinky Tevas, washing them in the room with hotel shampoo and then drying them with a washcloth does nothing except make stinky Tevas squish and potentially piss off the maids at the Crowne Plaza... that is one nasty washcloth. chopchop gotta go...
