TitaniumLegs 8 #1 August 20, 2003 One of the low-voltage spot lights in the living room was out. I changed it. Is it OK to do this kind of electrical work myself? Is there an FAQ? Should this be under "gear and rigging"? Is it "A FAQ" or "An FAQ"? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Does it always take a few days to propagate from East Coast to West? This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes. BlueEyedMonster 0 #10 August 20, 2003 QuoteQuoteIs it "A FAQ" or "An FAQ"? Depends. A fack An eff a cue. Actually I'm gonna get all stupid and anal cause I am tired. It does not depend. Unless FAQ is puncuated as separate words, (F. A. Q.) it is an acronym and therefore pronounced as a single word. So, it is either a FAQ or an F. A. Q. masher 1 #11 August 20, 2003 yeah, you are getting a bit pedantic there.... However, it can be argued that FAQ is wrong, and F.A.Q. is always correct as it is an acronym.-- Arching is overrated - Marlies

FAQ = F.A.Q. but does not = F. A. Q. You missed the spaces between the letters. With spaces between the letters, it is no longer an ancronym but individually abbreviated words. goose491 0 #15 August 20, 2003 Quote Is it OK to do this kind of electrical work myself? If you have to ask, then no. I would suggest that you ask around your neighborhood for people with higher lighbulb change numbers to give you the correct info. Surely you will get much advise here on the forums but without a good look at your lightbulb changing technique, there is little we can say to steer you in the right direction. Do you have video? Some pointers that immediately come to mind. 1) Make sure the lightswitch is in the 'off' position. 2) Righty-tighty, Lefty-Loosey 3) It is not necessary to put the lightbulb in your mouth first like they do on TV My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! I thought with that new breed of antennalopes that electricity and cell phone transmissions traveled alot faster these days. Least that's what I learnt from the TV.
