If you like the Patriot Act, then get ready for Victory -- Press Clips

What? Stocking up on terror weapons? I hear that will be illegal under the "FREEDOM act," coming this fall to a government near you. But don't worry, you will be much safer from gun-wielding narco-terrorists once it passes.

Oh, yeah, Patriot is so good, let's expand it!

Wasn't that the plan in the first place

God Damn it we'll finally win this war on drugs....this will put us over the edge to victory Ronny wouid be proud:S.

The boys in the DEA love it.....

What a joke just another example of our tax dollars being flushed down the toilet.

I would have thought that they would go the logical route and legalize then tax and regulate, but that makes too much sense it would cost less and stop a lot of senseless bloodshed. You don't want to stop bloodshed do ya?

I'm one of those confusing moderates. Can't ever seem to pin me to one side or the other.

Bill, would you please conform to the black and white, with us or against us rules that the neo-conservatives use to label everyone. It would be less confusing.

Pretty soon instead of conservatives and liberals, it will be conservatives and terrorists. I mean, after all, you people that weren't in favor of the rash and drastic invasion of Iraq are buddies with Bill Clinton, pals with Saddam and aiding and abetting Al-queda.

I thought it was pretty obvious about a year and a half ago that at least some of the measures approved for use in the "war on terror" would find their way into the "war on drugs". Sometimes being right sucks.

This is just incredible. The so-called conservatives are now looking to be activists? I particularly like the part about "A court may not grant a motion to suppress the contents of a wire or oral communication, or evidence derived therefrom, unless the court finds that the violation of this chapter involved bad faith by law enforcement."

It's like these Republicans look at the 4th Amendment like liberals look at the 2nd Amendment - like something that shouldn't have been included because they don't like it.

It is "Unreasonable" search and seizure, and not "Bad Faith." Beam me up...

Liberal or not, you've proven yourself to be anti-gun in the past.

That was my point.

You preach anti-gun, then seem to side with the pro-gun types here, you preach fuel conversation, then you drive a RV to wffc that averages 15mpg (according to the manufactures website)...stuff like that, that's what I'm talking about.

4th is being secure in your person and posessions against unreasonable search and seizure.
(by the way, that one was killed a long time ago when they approved forfeiting your home or car for sale by the government because you had a bag of weed in it/before you're even convicted.)

2nd - right to bear arms, or arm bears, I always get confused.

Perhaps to you, but I support gun ownership rights for everyone except children, convicted criminals and the mentally incompetent. I am also in favor of reasonable restrictions that keep guns out of the hands of the above people.

>You preach anti-gun, then seem to side with the pro-gun types here . . .

I've never preached anti-gun. Sometimes the anti-gun types here raise good points. Perhaps you misinterpreted that as being anti-gun.

Yep! I even jumped 80 times during the two boogies, and out of an Otter, that's at least 100 gallons of gas. Once again I'm one of those bizarre middle of the road people who does use fossil fuels, I just try to use as little of them as I can.

No doubt. Hey, if I'm pissing off both sides equally I must be doing something right.

A logical fallacy perpetrated by governmental officials as well.

I mean, isn't it possible that some governmental officials are just, ya know, not very likeable? ;)

Now where did we put that poll with the 4 quadrants ... Libertarian... conservative...... Righty... Lefty.....

I remember placing over there by Ghandi... and Dali Lama....

I guess I should just get rid of my 4x4 Diesel 3/4 ton truck.. and my gun collection as well as my NRA membership.

I have to agree about keeping guns out of peoples hands who have no concept of the responsibility of what happens when you use one...

Every time I hear John Ashcroft speak I get more scared for my country and the freedoms our country used to represent to the world.:(

I agree. What's interesting is that Ashcroft has taken the stge to actually market these laws. Many people aren't buying it, and the fact that the Attorney General has to hit the soapbox to market them is telling of the Act's problems.

Here's why I didn't vote for GWB. It's also why I didn't vote for Gore. And why I won't in the coming elections.
