CanuckInUSA 0 #1 August 22, 2003 Before I forget ... Last night while driving home, I noticed a U-Haul Trailer with a canopy painted on it (looking more like a 7-cell base canopy, not a 9-cell skydiving canopy) and on it was the name Fayetteville. I put two and two together (to get three) and knew it was in reference to Bridge Day, but ironically I saw no reference on the trailer to Bridge Day (keep in mind I was travelling about 45 mph as I passed the trailer and didn't want to get into an accident). Anyway, I thought it was kind of different to see a U-Haul Trailer with this sort of thing. But it brought a smile to my face (even though I've yet to make a base jump). Zenister 0 #2 August 22, 2003 might it not also be a reference to Fayetteville NC? home of the largest "dropzone" in the world. did you see what state the truck was from?? I've seen several 'from' Ft. Rucker with apache's on the side too...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. CanuckInUSA 0 #3 August 22, 2003 I'm sorry, I didn't see where the trailer was from (something about not wantimg to get into an accident while travelling 45 mph). But then again I'm not the sharpest pencil in the case (and don't forget I put two and two together and got three). riddler 0 #5 August 22, 2003 Backing Canuck up on this one. I have seen that exact same U-Haul. Thought it was interesting that they would want to associate their company with such reckless activity. Next, they will start letting maintenance slip on their trucks.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
