AggieDave 6 #5 August 20, 2003 I just need to make it to the music store. I'm just looking at my checking account, looking at my bills, then looking at my guitar. And wondering if I can survive a trip to the music store...its really hard to just get strings and a few pics, ya know. So JT, I feel your pain there buddy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

lawrocket 3 #11 August 20, 2003 I went to a guitar show in January. I almost bought this very1959 Les Paul Reissue Isn't she gorgeous? I coulda gotten it for a little over $5K. The people that run that site are really the salt of the earth. Then I laid eyes on another beautiful Les Paul, which is no longer for sale. Hey, I'm a Gibson devotee! I decided that, rather than go into default on student loans, I would not purchase either instrument. But, I still view the site to see what could have been mine. Both were gorgeous! And Dave. On October 18-19 is a guitar show in Arlington. These guitarshows are great, and I've been to one in SoCal twice in the last year. You should go and drool... My wife is hotter than your wife. AggieDave 6 #13 August 20, 2003 Very nice! I think it would probably be best if I didn't go to a guitar show, though...I don't have a lot of money and I would slip into "I could pay that off later" mode which is bad.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." lawrocket 3 #14 August 20, 2003 Wel, what are you getting at Sam Ash? I got my mandolin there. Unfortunately, there aren't any up here in Fresno where I just moved. But, there is a Guitar Center about 2 miles from where I live. My Les Paul needs new strings. And new winders. In fact, I need a whole home studio. Dang it!!! My wife is hotter than your wife. lawrocket 3 #18 August 20, 2003 Carlo Robelli? The only place you can find those is Sam Ash. They proved me wrong when I said, "You couldn't GIVE those away." I've seen your collection. Don't even bother with spending more than necessary if Robelli is your reward. But let me know what you got. My wife is hotter than your wife.
jtval 0 #19 August 20, 2003 no , Like I said though I not really trying for the carlo. I have a feeling that i will find a deal on something that I need! at this point the things I NEED arent cheap. so I'll end up with the guitar anyway! then Ill play it for a few days and mkae a good offer to my pilot. if he likes it then Ill hook him up if not ...thenI got a sacrifcial guitar for a bonfire show! HAHAH!My photos My Videos
Blahr 0 #20 August 20, 2003 Quote I have an addiction for sexy driftwood that makes nice sounds! Me too. I'm attempting to add to my PRS collection atm. I'm negotiating a deal on a PRS Swamp Ash Special. (its a beauty) This will bring my PRS "collection" up to

jtval 0 #22 August 20, 2003 hmmmm PRS (I said that in my homer simpsions voice) I would LOVE a...damn I just brain farted... those hand made guitars from the fallen trees from the protected forrests! GRR i cant remember the.....LARIVEE. I WOULD LOVE A LARIVEE for an acoustic and a PRS for an electricMy photos My Videos
lawrocket 3 #23 August 20, 2003 I almost bought a PRC McCarty a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I couldn't see it as being my main guitar, and my Les Paul sounded just as good and played better. I really thnk my next electric will be a G&L Telecaster. I just love that Tele Twang! My wife is hotter than your wife.
Blahr 0 #24 August 20, 2003 Quote I WOULD LOVE A LARIVEE for an acoustic Dems supposed to be pretty noice. I have a low end Martin that fits pretty well. The high end Martins were too rich for my blood after buying the PRS
Blahr 0 #25 August 20, 2003 Quoteand my Les Paul sounded just as good and played better. I'll buy the "sounded just as good" part but not the "played better" unless it was old, broken, or otherwise screwed. Been playing guitars for 30 years and never played one that played as nice as a PRS. The fretboard and action are absolutely superb from nut to bridge. Cept for the 12th fret G string on the 24 fret models. No sustain on that note and that note on about 40% of them. Known issue going back to the very beginning.
