Do I, Dont I

Recommended Posts

I currently rent a 1000sf 2 bedroom apartment with my cousin. Having a roomate is, well to say politely, somewhat intrusive. I mean, I can't run around the place naked, being picky about cleanliness, etc. etc. Well, there is this 3000 sf house 2 blocks from the beach up for lease..... hmmm it's pretty pricy and if I want to do it, it means bringing on another roomate to afford the rent.

The house is incredible! Neat floorplan, it has an atrium in the middle of the house, HUGE entry/living room. Nice master bedroom (which would be mine). I'm meeting with the owner in less than an hour to view the place.

I so miss living in a house - sold mine in the divorce - apartment living SUCKS, but do I really want another roomate~!? aaaaaahhhhhhh

Aw do I have to? OK!:)
Seriously: renting an expensive place sucks. It's harder to dave money and the money you do spend on rent just goes away[:/]... Not like investing in a home or something. If the bigger house has more privacy though and a third roomate keeps the rent low enough do it for your own peace of mind.

Yea, I wish I had the money to buy another home. Unfortunately you can't touch anything down here in a "safe" area for under 350k. Can't qualify for something that much - so, unfortunately I'm stuck in renters HELL! I guess I'll have a better idea after I view the inside of the house, and how much privacy I'll actually get.

God, I'm too old to be having roomates! Sorta trips on the ego - I'm 33 years old, can't afford a home, have to have roomates - blah, blah, blah, blah :P

ciao for now, g

Sebazz is wise, he is!

Living large is cool and all, but only when you're home. A big fancy house does you no real good when you're at work or out doing what you do. It's especially no good if you're paying someone else's mortgage for them. Why don't you kick out the roomie, buy a trailer, and move onto the dz? Then you'd be saving tons of money and there'd be people who will appreciate (and encourage) you running around naked!

In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

I used to rent a big house with my ex. A/C was very expensive (3.5bed, 2ba, huge house), also had to pay water & garbage. OTOH, i'd move back in if I had the chance, I am renting a 1bdrm apt, 1000sf, and it is 900$/mo. Sux! I wish I had rented something cheaper, more jumps! I just sold my condo a few months back, should'a bought something else then. Guess it'll be a year, but I know I wouldn't want an apt again. Did u figure out if it'll be costing u the same to move?

Good luck! Roommates suck! I am super picky, tho.

Angela.

Screw the house. Buy a big RV and live on the dropzone or, if you are so keen on the beach, get a slot at a campground right on the water. Yes, I own a house (quite nice) but I give a shit about living in it anymore, so I rent it out for the full cost of mortgage and upkeep. Eventually, I will dump the house and spend the money on coctails.

Hey Mandy!

:D:D:D A little late for that - you've met my cousin right??? Perfect little figure on that girl! Sucks even more when David (with a twinkle in his eye) says "I wouldn't mind if she ran around naked" :P (very funny butt muncher!) The other potential rommie is a tiny lil thing as well! Yea well, they do have youth on their side!!!

Not sure if this house will pan out though... more than likely the girls won't be able to afford their portion of the rent... but I am keeping my eye open. There is another 2 bedroom house down the street for rent. Cute lil victorian style home! Wish me luck!

Brian & Skymonkeyone - I wish I had the balls to just up and quit the job and move to the DZ, live in the RV, with no worries in the world! I'm too responsibility oriented (okay go ahead and say UP-TIGHT)!!! I'm working on that though! :D
