Should the USPA "Coach" rating be on our user full profile?

Recommended Posts

The Profile change takes a lot of work on the back end side of the Dbase. Sangiro was talking about intergrating all the different profiles on the site into a single one so I'd look for this change at that time.

Well... I often feel attacked. Or like maybe I was about to be attacked. Like maybe someone had a consealed weapon or I thought they had a consealed weapon. Sometimes I just lash out at the person in a limited community I feel most likely to attack me. Especially if they have something I want.

according to the poll so far, 34 people...idiot

Do they all have coach ratings?

What value is served by listing it? All it says is that they have 100 jumps and can do elementary maneuvers like changing level and heading. Why should I care if someone writing on DZ.com can do that?

I vote, absolutely...yes. This is up and comming jumpers first instructional rating and should be added to the user profile. Most people are proud of their first "gateway" rating.

Now how about those who do not jump in the US? CSPA rating for instance are different from the USPA rating. I am sure that PASA ratings once again are different. So, we will have to integrate that if possible, or are you saying that you are only interested in those that hold USPA ratings and the rest really doesn't matter?

How many times do I have to tell you Justin: us foreigns dont matter! lmao;)

I can see this as being a real complex thing to put in place if you want to keep an international aspect to the site, and my guess is, HH wants to keep an international aspect to it.

Why not replace the tick boxes in place now with a text box for ratings taht we fill in if we want to?

It says they've completed the first step in the instructional rating ladder, and that they have an interest and some training in teaching students. It's a three-day course complete with evaluated training and jumps. It's a legitimate rating. Why are you so down on people who are taking the first step in becoming instructors?

And no, I don't have a coach rating.

I'm sorry, but have a handful of 'certified' coaches that I wouldn't feel confident of laying a base in a two-way.

HOWEVER, we also have a couple guys that were marginal and the training they did to get their coach rating brought them up a TON. These guys won big.

Again, it's all about the individual, not the rating.
