mouth 0 #1 August 24, 2003 0:1:1 FINALLY after what seems like forever but was only 8 weeks I got back in the air. NO I did not jump by myself becuase my stupid arm is still not fully healed or anywhere near strong enough to flare my canopy, so thanks to some wonderful friends at Skydive Atlanta I got to do a 6 way tandem RW with video for the sunset load last night. I didn't realize how much I missed all my friends from "home" or how much I missed the freedom of being in the air. I also made a great new friend Celljumper who moved here from California is a total sweetheart. You guys just lost a great chickie over there, but I promise to enjoy having her here with me. I realized I'm not ready to jump on my own for a little longer but I did manage to attempt the practice flares and I KNOW I'll eventually be able to jump again so my ortho guy can kiss my a$$ -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. skybytch 273 #3 August 24, 2003 0:2:0 Two jumps on my wingsuit yesterday. Second one was a two way with billvon. Flew over and under each other. Awesome visuals. Had to leave the dz for a couple hours cuz I really wanted to jump it more but I'm saving my last three jumps for my last day at Perris.

freeflygoddess 0 #8 August 24, 2003 I had a BIG FAT 0:0:0 weekend... However I did get to go see Tomb Raider 2 Friday night, because of a friend...thank you. Other than that all I did was watch movies on the movie channels. Oh yeah today I did get to go to Walmart with my mommy. I know I am pathetic... wmw999 2,587 #9 August 24, 2003 You go girl! 0:6:0 6 jumps at Ballunar -- it was a lot of fun, and, especially for what were essentially pickup teams, very good. The party was awesome, too -- booze luge, beer, jello shots, and a pool -- what more is needed (well, a later start time -- having to be at NASA at 6:45 pretty much sucked) Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. Dumpster 0 #11 August 24, 2003 0:4:0 Took the wife to the airport - she's going to Conn. for week with her mom - I'm Joe Bachelor for a week! WooHoo!! Good times at the DZ - Four good RW jumps, lots of points turned, worked on my accuracy for my D - Five more jumps to go to get my D. And I think I'm actually getting the hang of this thing they call skydiving. Best fun I had was bombing out the door, and turning fast enough to watch the others get out right behind me. So sweet! Vallerina 2 #12 August 24, 2003 1 year I went to the dz Friday, in freefall I watched the city of Chicago where I was supposed to be working, and I did the best kiss pass EVER!!! Saturday, we went on a dinner cruise and got to see a nifty firework show! I viewed the beautiful Chicago skyline with this really hot guy! Today, we went to see Cirque Du Soleil which was a fanastic show! I'm still amazed by what some human bodies can do. A great weekend, although, I may have to search for a dancing banana and pour beer on someone to make it complete. I can't believe how much fun this past year has been! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Deuce 1 #14 August 24, 2003 That was a great idea. I'm so glad to hear it. 4 birdman suit jumps, and the old pro I jumped with told me I'm a natural. Very rewarding, got two stable docks on the 4th jump. It is so different from anything else in skydiving. He's getting a SF3 so he can stay with me when I get mine Every now and again, you need to find out you're good at something, and the timing for this birdman victory couldn't have been better. OH CRAP I forgot! We had a birdstrike on takeoff! That really got my attention. Being up next to the pilot in a birdman suit when he takes the plane zero G, swears in French ( He's a French guy over here getting hours) banks hard right and heating blap-WHACK! Then being asked to inspect the prop, exhaust and wing root for damage while we start back to the runway. A hawk was headed right for the windsheild at 500 feet and it ended up going through the prop and mashing on the wingroot and the horizontal stabilizer. Didn't do even any cosmetic damage. Scared the crap out of me for a second, though. BEER!
kai2k1 0 #15 August 24, 2003 0:0:0 Took a weekend off, and went trout fishing with my future brother in law. I love to fish, but i watched the skies the whole weekend There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan

As for me....Zip Zero Nada. Again. Unfortunately my reserve was out of date. Looking back I should have just jumped it anyway and left it Saturday night for the repack. Oh well....my bad. Stacy 0 #18 August 24, 2003 50,000 love bugs mashed on the window:1:0 1 reallly funny 5way on saturday, then the plane broke for the second time. called it a day. when the plane has been on jacks twice in one day, well, that's my limit. taught myself with the help of HGTV how to make mosaic styled things and bought some tiles and grout to play around with. 4 new tires on my car since one busted on 95 friday morning. that cost me 27 jump tickets. ugh. __

Saturday was ok, did 4 jumps, anywhere from 8-15 ways....however today....we did a 6 point 10 way that totaly rocked!!!! Clownburner 0 #25 August 25, 2003 0 : 1 : 1 Went to a concert in Vegas, met JTVal at the DZ but he slept through the concert. Got a friend of mine up in the air for the first time, rode up with him and jumped after him, which became my first jump out of a Cessna 206 (thus the beer). fun weekend, but not enough jumping.
