OK, just thought I'd contribute to the subject line while still getting in you-know-when... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? VanillaSkyGirl 6 #16 August 25, 2003 My late grandmother (my father's mother) also had hair past her waist, which had much of her original color (black). She used to wear it in a bun. My late grandmother also had the softest skin ever. It was porcelain, alabaster white skin. She is 100% Peruvian, but she and her husband (my grandfather) were known for their striking white skin, black hair and hazel/brown eyes. They never stopped loving each other and died the love of one another's lives. It is my other (mother's mother) grandmother's birthday today. She is the sweetest woman ever. She raised two children that are absolutely extraordinary in every way. I love her so much. Grandparents are the best. I only have one left, and I try to give her the respect that she deserves. I hope that I can be half the woman that either one of my grandmothers have been.

cindee 0 #20 August 26, 2003 Sounds like your Grandma is an amazing lady. It's nice to see a young person have respect for their grandparents and take the time to help them out with shopping! __________________________________________________ "If happy little bluebirds fly above the rainbow, why oh why can't I?" skytrixaz 0 #22 August 26, 2003 My “abuelita” (Spanish for grandmother) used to be revered for her wisdom, accumulated from, believe me, years of experience. Those years were the repository of family histories and Spanish lore, medical knowledge, and child rearing information. I truly valued the vast storehouse of knowledge she had to offer. Even though your grandmother has reached the age of gray hair and wrinkles…it sounds like she still has a lot of beauty and dignity. Also sounds like you have a cool family. P.S. If I’m not mistaken…I think September 7 is “Grandparents Day” ;-) …CELEBRATE!
Tonto 1 #23 August 26, 2003 Cool. I miss my gran. I spend weeks with her before she died at 87. Ask her about her grandfather. Write stuff down, start a family tree. A lot gets lost when they leave. tIt's the year of the Pig.
mouth 0 #24 August 26, 2003 I think it is so wonderful that you do so much for your grandmother. I'm sure she is a beautiful woman on the outside as well as in her heart. Give her a big kiss from me as I really miss my grandmother. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
