for those of you that may be coming to florida in september, the skyventure wind tunnel will be closed from sept 3rd until the 14th or 15th for scheduled maintenance...

Thats the plan as I understand it. They are upgrading the fans to same ones that Perris is getting.

yeah, we had to shut down for about 45 minutes due to the torrential downpour monday at 3pm. go figure. rain...in florida...in the afternoon.

i also found out that some people will actually get pissed if you can't tell them when it will stop raining. go figure.

What happens to you and Mike Maguire while the tunnel is down? Do you still collect a paycheck?

You know there was a time when I hated the tunnel, but now I love it.

no paycheck unless we work (reservations, etc), but i still have my other job at the gear store i work at as well. skyventure isn't my fulltime gig.

mike doesn't work with us anymore. he has devoted all his time to the rigging loft that he runs. we miss him already!

i'm gonna be 'hating' the tunnel when i wake up. i flew my ass off in there last night, and i will most definitely be feeling in come tomorrow morning. i just hope i can lift my arms to drive into work.

Glad Mike gave me his and Kristen's rigging card before he left.

Weird thing though...we've been staying in touch via email for about 1 and half years now, but I have not received a reply from my last email in about 2 weeks. That's not like him. Maybe I'll give him a call.
