Time for some Home Schooling --------------------- Supporters Back Teacher Charged with Prostitution In Oakland, protesters held a rally to support a former Berkeley High School teacher charged with prostitution. Shannon Williams, 37, is accused of selling sex out of an apartment in Oakland. Williams said Wednesday that she believed that prostitution should be decriminalized. "As a feminist, I believe in every woman's right to self determination," she said. Another speaker at the rally said people shouldn't be surprised to find teachers also working as prostitutes. "I know many former and current prostitutes that either came out of the helping professions, work in the helping professions, or are going into the helping professions," said Lynn Davis. "Myself, I'm training to be a therapist." Williams' attorney accused the Oakland Police of acting unprofessionally during her client's arrest.
