marcandalysse 0 #26 August 28, 2003 We tried Stacy's directions, they are okay but be sure to give yourself time to get through Lakeland, it can be congested. And as she says, in Lakeland there are a bunch of curves and changes so follow those rt 98 signs. You will end up crossing under I-4, driving on Rt98 for a while till that left turn on 54...(thats a T intersection, and has a huge concrete pillar on the right of the road to mark it...) Take some windex, the love bugs are out in force, and driving down rt 60 they totally covered my windshield till I had to pull over and clean it! See you this weekend at the bombsquad table... Marc PS we drive up from Sarasota and those directions from JeffD are fine. 3 hours from Ft Lauderdale to Sarasota using I-75, another 1:15 from Sarasota to Zhills.... SkydiveNFlorida 0 #28 August 28, 2003 ooo, whats the bomb squad table thing all about? I'm invited? :D Stacy, ur gonna b there, too? Do you still look like ur avatar? I'll come say hi 2 you. Juanesky, sure hope so!! I'm gonna try to borrow some $$ from family b4 leaving town so that I can have just a little bit more fun. Plus the cuties from Deland are gonna be there, too! Hope I don't miss that z-hills sign.. Now i'm kinda freaked that i'll miss it. Marc, I-75 would be cheaper, but does it take about the same time, or more time? I'm all for saving $$. :) Thanks everyone ! Angela.
marcandalysse 0 #29 August 28, 2003 Bomb squad table in the front corner of the porch...big sign over it..here's a photo of a bunch of us relaxing and filling out logbooks after a dive. The tolls arent too expensive. too be honest, I didn't like the drive that Stacy recommended, it didn't seem so fast to me, but new drives always seem longer the first time because there's new things to see...so it's your call! You'll only need more $ for MORE JUMPS! Not a lot to do in zhills, the beer at the dzpub is cheap too! Dont worry about the sign. It says SKYDIVE CITY by the way....just look for the canopies landing...!
Stacy 0 #30 August 28, 2003 OF course that drive didn't seem fast. It's long. it's like 3.5 hours. ther is NO fast way to get to ZHills frm over here, but going all the way to I4 and back down is DEFINITELY wrong. I won't be there this weekend. Going on vacation in Key west for a little R&R &Rum. NExt weekend, however, galen and I will be camping with our new tent air conditioner.
