Aw, heck -or- Missing my HS reunion

Recommended Posts

I went to a small high school - like 250 kids in four grades. My graduating class (82!!) was only 30 kids. Somehow I avoided... I mean missed the 20 year for my class - or was it that no one bothered to put one together?

Anyway, in the pile of bills and ads in the mailbox the other day there was an invitation for the 20th reunion for the class of 83 - they're inviting like 5 classes in the hopes of getting enough people there for a party. It's happening at one of my favorite restaurants in the town I grew up in, it's only $40 a person (including drinks! I could make that SUCH a good deal... ;)). But it's happening on September 27th - 19 days after I leave California for Florida.

Darn. I kinda wanted to go to the next reunion, if only to see how fat the cheerleaders got and if the guy voted most likely to succeed really did and if what's her name finally admitted that she's a lesbian.

I'll be sending my regrets, along with a picture of the 131way women's record. :D

You got that right, also bug phree for some shots of you in the wing suit to send along! The bird-man is getting international wuffo appeal.
But be forewarned if that girl really is a lesbian she just might have a few good pictures of her own to share.:o

No shit! I talked to my whuffo brother the other day; when I told him I got a wingsuit he's like "you mean a BirdMan suit?" Discovery channel rocks. ;)

I suppose I could send along the attached pic also... me and 8 hot bird dudes... that oughta make the fat ex-cheerleaders jealous...

I went for a helicopter ride in the sierras near lake Tahoe this past weekend. helo pilots been flying to remote areas all his life been featured in National geographic. Invented the airborne animal capturing net that scientists use to catch game for studies.

So the pilot asks us do we want the tour, or do we want the "E" tour. I tell him with two skydivers and one mountain climber aboard we'll take the "E".
Get to talking and he asks if we'd done a helo jump. The answer is several.... even a bird man jump from a helo. He says bird man... that is getting popular.
Not bad for a guy who spends the majority of his time in the third world at ultra remote sites. I was very impressed he knew about it. And he had a few jumps from way back too.
The crew that was setting him up to take supplies on an external sling warned us he has had 22 helo crashes in his line of work, they just thought we should know. I said he should just about have his crashes perfected about now. I would feel safe crashing with him then.
