juanesky 0 #1 August 28, 2003 Well, finally after 24 hours in the hospital due to a bad case of cold flu, I finally got relief to be able to be back at work today. Just a quick question to any jumper who has the same issue about the congestions, ear, nose, etc.... What has been the waiting period for you, if you had Sinus congestion, to start jumping again?"According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon
Casie 0 #2 August 28, 2003 DON'T jump if you're congested....it could possibly lead to worse problems, busted eardrums, etc! I never jump when I'm congested. If I can pop both my ears on the ground then I'm good to go! Of course, it's ultimately YOUR decision! Glad you're feeling better....now I can start stalking you again~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts!
juanesky 0 #3 August 28, 2003 Yes, you can stalk me anytime now....beware, I may start doing it to you though...... Anyways, I am still not 100% out of the congestion yet, but figure by Saturday I will. I'll just wanted to know if there is a waiting period to do so, I will not risk jumping, I could have done it on Saturday, yet I did feel it and definitely knew about poping my ear drums or sinus...... Thanks for the advice though..."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon
Michele 1 #4 August 28, 2003 I've always waited longer than "the day I feel better"...be patient, the sky will wait for you, you know? I would hate to see a post from you about how you've ruptured your eardrum, or had serious sinus pain, etc. So be patient, spend the weekend healing the body, and then go back into the sky healthy! skymama 37 #5 August 28, 2003 I started an antibiotic for a sinus infection last Friday, and I jumped on Saturday. But, I also got a prescription Sudafed with a mucus drainer (I love that!), which I think made a huge difference. I also took baby steps....first I did a hop-n-pop and everything was good. Next, I went to altitude and did a solo and jumped last with the intention of pulling high in case I couldn't stand the freefall. It ended up being bearable all the way down. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
CrazyIvan 0 #6 August 28, 2003 Don't jump until you have your sinuses CLEAR, I did jump once with a little congestion due to alergies, I was DEAF for a whole week, during freefall I literally fell the 'stuff' getting packed in the back of my sinuses, what a pain in the butt. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. juanesky 0 #7 August 28, 2003 Thanks Michele, Casie and Andrea....I will wait, but thought also that a hop n pop at 2500 will not be a problem....just an attitude adj jump won't hurt. By the way, be safe and have fun this weekend......."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #9 August 29, 2003 Hi Juan! Maybe you should try to wait longer than you think that you should. You don't want anything to worsen and to keep you out of the sky any longer than you have to be. Feel better, OK?
