Sorority goings on...??

Recommended Posts

Okay - I got into this discussion with an "out" there bi/lesbian the other day, and it raised my curiousity about the "rest" of the world, so I thought I'd ask you all for your perspectives.

Are sororities (& fraternaties too, for the men who lurk) nothing more than a greek;) institution for sexual experimentation in a safe, welcoming environment at a key stage in life??

My friend said that she "worked her way through her sorority" during college, and that it was never discussed in open, yet - everyone she did it with approached her about it. (she referred to them as "LUGS" and "BUGS" - Lesbian Until Grad'n, and Bi Until Grad'n:D) And, she didn't go to a liberal, big city university...she went to a well-known, conservative, state (still big though) univerisity.
My sister is "out" and her partner has confided many times that she specifically chose an all-women's university for the increased possibilities. Even going so far as to say that at one stage she lived on a floor of all gays and they had an orgy one night in the common room!!!:o:$

Is this as common as they make it out to sound?? There wasn't a greek life where I went to school, but my time spent at a US university has brought further wonder into this "phenomenon". I could totally buy it if it were the case - knowing who I've known in greek org's.

Your thoughts....???

don't know if she "knows" about Smith College, but she went to a school that has been absorbed by another here in GA. Pretty much the last place I'd expect something like this to happen, but I guess that is why people join the convent:o:$!!

I mean - it's not like this is a new idea, or anything!

I guess it's all in how you look at it!

Dude, I was at OSU, and I have video (somewhere) of three of the girls in my dorm getting it on out on the floor of the dorm hallway. Needless to say, with a bit of scratchy music, and a few different angles, it was a classic beer party vid for the next couple months.......

Not sure how well this relates but anyway.
My ex-girlfriend and her life long best friend went to a very exclusive high school/prep school for 'young ladies'.
They would always give each other a very passionate hug and kiss upon greeting. I'm sure you know what I mean. A little too long to be a standard 'hello kiss' but not long enough to be a 'oh he comes the carpet munchers kiss'. I never said anything because to be honest it kind of turned me on.
At one point down the track we reached a certain stage of honesty in the relationship and I queried her about this. She said they had never actually done it but promised each other if they were going to they would do it together. Same rules would apply to three-ways with a guy etc.B| Apparently I was an option but my girlfriend didn't want to.>:(
I respected that however. But man, I was ...that close!
