SkyAnt 0 #1 August 30, 2003 I have a 'Tachymeter' on two wrist watches. How do you use it? And what is it for? P.S. Thats the thing with the extra weird numbers outside the face. Not on the Bezzil. I know what thats for. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
DTOXX 0 #2 August 30, 2003 Usually the numbers run counter clockwise and work on what appears to be a logrithmic scale. If you measure the number of seconds that it takes for you to travel 1 mile and then look at the scale on your watch it will convert to the mile per hour you are traveling. Example: if it takes 40 seconds then I am traveling 80 MPH because 80 is written at the forty second mark. If it takes me 16 seconds then I am traveling 220. This is how my Fossil watch works at least. ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy
SkyAnt 0 #3 August 30, 2003 Cool! thanks! So is that used for fuel calculations, or is that another set of numbers some watches have? "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
