kmcguffee 0 #2 August 29, 2003 Calling these two guys, Rep. C.L. "Butch" Otter (R) and Sen. Larry E. Craig (R-Idaho), "GOP stalwarts" sure is a stretch. At the National level anyway. Maybe not at the Boise, Idaho level. I have never been that impressed with Ashcroft. He has a problem of not listening to his subordinates. Seems to think he knows everything. Rumsfield and Wolfowitz have the same problem. I do support the Patriot Act though. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." TheAnvil 0 #3 August 30, 2003 The libertarian in me doesn't like many aspects of The Patriot Act, though there are some aspects of it that I do support. I'm a bit ticked off at the Republicans right now, but still intensely loathe the democrats. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! Pubwoof 0 #4 September 1, 2003 "Those who would trade their liberties for an increased sense of safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin It's been a while since I first read that, and my wording may be just a bit off. But, I think this sentiment is a pretty accurate reflection of the thinking of most Patriot Act critics. If someone has the exact quote, please post it. The glass isn't always half-full OR half-empty. Sometimes, the glass is just too damn big.
