jtval 0 #5 September 1, 2003 faggy colors? hey if its free who cares! HAHAHAH! seriously though, on my 1st main i had two pink stripes some closed minded ppl thought that was gay! those two stripes didnt match my colors but they save me about 600 EACH! LOL I was gonna buy a main for 1800 I think that was the going price fora new sabre 170-190 then) well My instructor 210 for 600 with like 50 jumps in it . funny thing is...even though it may have been faggy. it saved my life about 180 times. (this isnt a stab at bytch, Im sure she was busting your balls. I am referin to ppl who saw pics of my main AKA WHUFFO)My photos My Videos

jtval 0 #7 September 1, 2003 DB, YES very interesting QuoteWell arn't you gonna compare it to the saber for me or do I have to jump one myself? come on give. blues jerry I guess Ill talk about the open first. Ive heard of the opening but its way cool to see it under the canopy. the slider was nice and square and it seemed like forever for the rest of the canopy to open! the two stage thing is sweet. almost looks like end cell closure if it were to stay that way for a second or two..it was a soft opening, too! (I jumped it three times) then I had fun flying it the first time I jumped it one of the slidercollapse cords got lost inside the slider. so Instead of playing around (I pulled high) I tried to get the thing out so I could collapse the slider. DONT WORRY, there were only two canopies in the sky and the tandem was at 5000 and to the north of me. so I turned south so I can look over my shoulder and see them while I messed with my slider. couldnt get it out so I unstowed the otehr side and that was annoying so I collapsed one side and let it fly. some may say I shouldnt have done that. but I and afater playing with the flight of it like that I wasnt concerned that it would affect mY low performance landing the thing was VERY RESPONSIVE. I like it alot. I cnat compare it to a sabre 150 b/c I ve never jumped one. but compared to my 170 it was like a porsche....thats anther thing Ive never demo'd so I can only say ID GUESS ITS LIKE A PORSCHE with my slider that way it was I wanted to be sure it wasnt gonna affect my landing (induce I slight turn) I feel like it did but I corrected. I didnt land crosswind but I had a slight right drift. coulda been the way I was in the saddle, too. Which is another nice thing While I was messing with the slider I was able to make small heading adjustment with my legs (something that isnt easy under my 170 sabre) anyway the landing was sweet. NICE flare the cobalt gets more flare then my sbare too.(but that can also be afffected by line trim and lower sterring line length, to some degree) on my second and 3rd jump I got to play . the slider cords didnt get lost in the slider. that was a fluke thing, never happened to my friend while he was under it. I like it the thing with cobalts is that you may hear ppl say "they fly big." so if you demo a 150 cobalt it would almost be like demoing a 170 of most other canopies. I dont know how true that is bue to the ,limited canopies I have flown but youll hear me say " they fly SWEET"My photos My Videos
