skydiverbrian 0 #26 September 1, 2003 Quotelife changes you... True, true. I'm still in my VERY EARLY thirties, and I have no wife or kids. But with two dogs, one travelling bag of clothes, and gear, a minivan sure would come in handy. Hard to admit, but I really have been thinking about one. Skymama's got a real cool one that's great for dz runs. I rented one and drove across the country two years ago. Was very impressed with the family truckster on both occasions. So do they get better gas mileage than a SUV? Are they cheaper? In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
skymama 37 #27 September 1, 2003 It may not be the coolest drive in town, but mini-vans come in so handy for young families. I've toted around so many kids in mine, been able to throw bikes in the back, pack gobs of stuff for family vacations and still have plenty of room to sit...you're going to really like it. My lease is almost up on mine and I have to get a new car now. My daughter is voting for something a little more stylish, but I know this is because she'll be getting her driver's permit in December! I think I'll be moving on to a small SUV now that the kids are older, but my mini-vans served me well. Oh, and the back seat is pretty roomy too. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Are they cheaper? *** generally better gas mileage for sure. cheaper? well... that depends on how many bells and whistles you want... I'd say they are a LITTLE cheaper than SUVs but not by a significant amount. -the artist formerly known as sinker
DaGimp 0 #31 September 1, 2003 Quote you and me and the other middle TN dz.commers could all pile in you can do that too on a golf cart....not much of a time saver on long hauls, not as comfy, but more cost efficient. Jayruss 0 #33 September 1, 2003 QuoteOh, and the back seat is pretty roomy too. You'd better get a sports car so that your daughter doesnt learn about the "room" in the back seat And the new van is pretty cool __________________________________________________ "Beware how you take away hope from another human being." -Oliver Wendell Holmes
