prepheckt 0 #1 September 1, 2003 In this month's centerfold, I notice that the two canopies pictured don't seem to have PC or birdles, just the d-bag attached. Can anyone explain what this system is and how it works?"Dancing Argentine Tango is like doing calculus with your feet." -9 toes
AggieDave 6 #2 September 1, 2003 Retractable PCs for CReW. You pull a line and it pulls the PC and bridle down to the canopy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
indyz 1 #3 September 1, 2003 The canopies in the picture are using a retraction system that I've never seen before, which is to say, not like the system on Lightnings or hybrid Triathlons. On those canopies, the bridle would be visible on the top skin of the canopy. On the canopies in the centerfold the bridle has gone somewhere inside/under the canopy, and the PC appears to be inside the bag (pretty clearly visible on the right canopy). My best guess is that the bridle is underneath those long skinny patches of slightly off-colored red on the center cell of each canopy. Hopefully on of the CRW dogs around here will have the real answer.
skymedic 0 #4 September 1, 2003 Brian, I'm pretty sure it's the one's like what Dave is talking about. pull the line and it retracts it. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....

bbarnhouse 0 #19 September 2, 2003 QuoteOr a burble and a huge smile Burble? LOL This ad has caused me a huge amount of laughter... and that WAS the point. Skydiving is supposed to be about fun...sometimes during a strenuous training day or a camp, we tend to forget that. I've heard remarks such as "Geez I bet your Mother is proud!"...and..." You advocating for birth control?"...and of course.."Do Me!" All in all I think it depicts what skydiving should be about...FUN! It was captured on one jump with mcGowan...and it was, simply put...da bomb diggety BB
