Picture in Parachutist

Recommended Posts

The canopies in the picture are using a retraction system that I've never seen before, which is to say, not like the system on Lightnings or hybrid Triathlons. On those canopies, the bridle would be visible on the top skin of the canopy. On the canopies in the centerfold the bridle has gone somewhere inside/under the canopy, and the PC appears to be inside the bag (pretty clearly visible on the right canopy).

My best guess is that the bridle is underneath those long skinny patches of slightly off-colored red on the center cell of each canopy. Hopefully on of the CRW dogs around here will have the real answer.

I'm pretty sure it's the one's like what Dave is talking about. pull the line and it retracts it.

I wouldn't be suprised if Dave was right, but I'm looking for an extra line in the picture and can't find it.

You have an e-copy of the pic? I don't have Parachutist on hand.

I've been trying to read Parachutist, but I seem to be stuck at the top of page 76

Bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *gasp* *choke* Oh damn diet coke all over my lap top......:$

Gotta admit, I'm saying I'm sorry 'bout all those kittens in advance....

Gotta admire a woman that can pose like that, with a grin that big.....

Question is.....can she do it on the ground? >:(

Burble? LOL This ad has caused me a huge amount of laughter... and that WAS the point. Skydiving is supposed to be about fun...sometimes during a strenuous training day or a camp, we tend to forget that.
I've heard remarks such as "Geez I bet your Mother is proud!"...and..." You advocating for birth control?"...and of course.."Do Me!" All in all I think it depicts what skydiving should be about...FUN!
It was captured on one jump with mcGowan...and it was, simply put...da bomb diggety;)
