QuoteI did feel bad for the Super Otter organizers @ WFFC though... it's such a common plane now, no one seemed overly excited to get on a load. They almost sounded like auctioneers trying to get people on their planes.
Oh don't feel too bad for them. They got plenty of loads up. The reason they sound like auctioneers, is because they want the jumpers to come to their plane. What ends up happening is jumpers walk over to the loading tents and find out what plane is on the fastest call.
I go to boogies to skydive. Since I'm not a big drinker, the party stuff doesn't go on too late for me. Most times I'm in bed by 10:00 p.m. That could be cause I try to make the first load of the day. Doing that is why most times I leave a boogie with tons of jumps in my log book.
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

I'm feelin sooo left out! I haven't attended a BOOGIE yet!
That will soon change when I attend AOTMB!
Me, either, unless you count the one we had at SDD, but I STILL didn't participate...I was still a student.

Blondes do have more fun!
I can jump a Super Otter at my home DZ only one time during the year and that's during our annual Freefall Festival (in Feb) BUAAAA!
But you're right: boogies are mostly about partying with fellow skydivers. I think that skydivers are the coolest people in the world....
During our 2002 Boogie I got stuck at the manifest and I didn't care (much). I jumped only one or two times, but hanging out with people from all over the world made my week.
I can jump our beautiful C-182 every weekend
MEN: you can't live with 'em, you can't shoot 'em, but you can act psychotic and keep 'em off balance.
