mikkey 0 #1 September 4, 2003 READ TEXT FIRST The attached picture was devised as part of a stress test developed by researchers at St. Mary's Hospital in London. It is the final picture of a series of stress determinators to gauge the amount of stress a patient has built up over a short time. Look at the attached picture of two dolphins jumping out of the water in tandem. The research has shown that the more differences you notice in the two dolphins, the more stressed you are. This is attributed to the concentration and recognition influences intensifying when stressed. The two are very similar, so if you can tell the difference without looking hard, you should pack up work and go home immediately. dterrick 0 #2 September 4, 2003 the dolphin on the left appears to have a good tracking position... ...and for some reason I was expecting to be, um, distracted from the picture (find the boat?) Disappointed, but I'm already working at home. Does this mean I pack up and go to the DZ? -Dave Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)

dterrick 0 #5 September 4, 2003 QuoteIs that a scooter you're on? Um, wellll, it was. Then it became a death trap. Take a 42 cc 2 stroke motor, some chain and gears from your local farm implement superstore, and a welder.... A buddy of mine built one that was direct drive (output shaft rubbing on the rear wheel) but he couldn;t use it in the rain and it kept eating motors from the vibrations. Soooooo, I did some calculations (max engine RPM, desired terminal speed, etc) and built a 2 stage reduction box for it. The biotch will do 31 mph at full cry ... and is in that picture. Standard bicycle front brake was good for about one tank of gas. I don't swoop (yet), buttt.... That picture was taken about 2 weeks before my first jump. It's shot at the Gimli Motorsport Park, a 1.3 mile road racing course that uses part of the twin runway to our DZ. The beer light goes on at about 4 PM - that picture was taken about 8. I won the race, beating an electric golf cart, a gas golf cart, and a 'utility truck' with a 20 bhp motor and 3 speed box. Sorry you asked? . I could send you plans... -Dave Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)
