Deuce 1 #53 September 2, 2003 Forgot to post my numbers. !:2:0 Just two jumps on Friday. Got my digital fill flash camera operational again, had some switch issues. Wife won this very fancy-schmancy trip to the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa for this million dollar wine tasting thing Sat, Sun, and Mon. People bid on lots of wine and dinners in caves and stuff. Great wine. Lots and lots and lots of great free wine. Nice hotel too, but I'd never spend that kind of money on a hotel when there's much better B&B's around. Rode the bike up, it was a nice weekend.
happythoughts 0 #54 September 2, 2003 Didn't jump at all. People in town. Went to Clearwater beach, St.Pete beach, Anna Maria Island beach, a couple of bars on Tampa Bay, and a few bars. Lots of sand and drinkin'. No jumping.

marcandalysse 0 #58 September 2, 2003 Bill, you were there in spirit, jumping on video sunday nite....we watched Patrick's videos of your muff brothers' jumps at Rantoul! Magic Carpets, Inflatables and more...Even the Golden Knights got muffed in the front row of a carpet ride You and Rabbit were AWESOME organizing and stabilizing all the in air action....kept some tricky rides going all the way till break off. Like Rabbit said, kind of like AFF level one with an inflatable caterpiller!!! Marc
Deuce 1 #59 September 2, 2003 QuoteDeuce, guess the wine explains the ! Guess I gotta post the numbers to play: 0:0:0 No darling, the lack of kids and therefor the lack of any need to choose a space with a door is all it takes. Plus maybe a jacuzzi tub with really cool seats. And a fireplace. And a really big armchair. There was a sauna in there somewhere too. We were cracking each other up. 17 years married this month. Both in our 40's. Yeah, love dies. (Well it does, actually, but never take it off the life-support. It will come back like JASON!) Bwah!
happythoughts 0 #60 September 2, 2003 QuoteLike Rabbit said, kind of like AFF level one with an inflatable caterpiller!!! AFF level one isn't quite as interesting. I'm thinking that being an AFF instructor would be more appealing if the Level Ones were topless. We definitely had some trick riding going on. Even had one invert and we barrel-rolled it back over. steve1 5 #61 September 2, 2003 Made four on Saturday and four on Sunday. I was hoping to break 600, but am still two short. Had five way scrambles both days. Only two teams. We lost by one point. One guy with about 150 jumps, kept messing up. Fun anyway. This was supposed to be our club's boogie weekend. With all the fires, the Feds. commondeered our airport and tried to turn it into a heli-base. Dirty, Commie, Rat Fink Bastards. So we had to cansal the caravan and scale way back. Went back to jumping out of the 206. A lot of folks went to Spokane. A very fun weekend.......Steve1

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #65 September 3, 2003 Thank you so much, Arthur. It was wonderful meeting you, too. We will definitely jump together soon. 1 wonderful bowl of orange jello with cherries from Viking I hadn't jumped in a month because I had been preoccupied with my mother's health. I was still worried about her this weekend, but she told me to please go have some fun. I finally gave myself permission to go to the DZ, and I jumped on Sunday afternoon and Monday. It lifted my spirits like nothing else! 1st attempt at cogging. (FUN!!!) 1st attempt at (inside) headjam sidebody exit. (We nailed it!) 1st attempt at (headjam position) head jam exit! I'm still a little sore, but I had a wonderful weekend. Hit it hard on Sunday with 1 tandem, 2 Hop n Pops, and a BEACH JUMP. I set the record for closest to the surf without getting wet (approx 2 ft). Monday finished with a tandem and an early exit from the DZ. 3 - cases owed. (1) closed to the surf zone without getting wet. (2) broke 600th skydive. (3) finally getting a guy to let me borrow his birdman suit. Now I just have to get up with SkyMonkeyOne and Lou Diamond. The weather turned out perfectly and another great weekend at the beach goes in the books!
 rehmwa 2 #70 September 4, 2003 :26:1 ... She thoroughly enjoyed it. I've got my dad lined up for an October jump and I may have another co-worker jumping soon as well; Two jumps on Monday with a MASSIVE CHOW HOSER of a landing on the second jump (I'm glad SM1 was, um, "resting" in the Rancho Deluxe and didn't have his camera rolling for that landing ); I still owe a keg at Raeford (SOON people, SOON)...but I brought a cooler full of forty beers and some ice out to the DZ on Saturday. I drank ice water and had my first "Kenny-Burger" (awesome).
