Jump Track

Recommended Posts

Who here owns one? Whats it like. What kind of an interphase does it use. How do you get the data from ProTrack to the computer? What are its strong points and weak points?

Thanks

I have the Pro-Track that uses the Jump Track software. It conncets to the computer thru a DB-9 Serial connector to the computer.

The install is easy and seamless.. setups are not to bad to get all the data you want as far as a default set of information to fill out your logbook.

The only downside I have seen its sometimes I have to reinsert the ProTrack into the IR adaperter/interface to ensure a good download.. and sometimes you have to restart the connecting to computer/transmission a few times.

It usually gets all of the numbers in but I have seen a few dives that have lost the ability to graph the data.

I have not used it A LOT at this point but I am sure over time I will get it to interface with me mentally in a more logical sequence.

It will graph only the last ten jumps, so if you go to rantoul and do say 50 jumps you will need to bring a laptop to do the down load.
It saves all the regular info going back many, many jumps. I only got the track for wing suit flying, to see if I could draw out a nice smooth efficient curve. There is a lot of other info you can store in the program that I don't use. I 'm just not techie enough.
