Freefly Vibes- Levin's Dad

Recommended Posts

Everyone is worried. Dad is having a biopsy to see about Lung Cancer today, I belive.

I might get word later on. He has said he will apprise me on any developments. All prayers are needed immediately.

Levins Dad would rather see him out skydiving than sitting around with him waiting on news. So he may come on to Houston on Saturday.

There are many family members flying in so the family home will be full. Nobody knows how this will go. But I am praying my ass off for the best possible news.

Dad is a postal carrier who walks a great deal. He also smokes. Yet he is in fabulous shape at 50.

*BUMP*

Levin's dad went in for more surgery today, and I offered to have this thread retrieved for him. I think he can use all the vibes you all can muster now. :)
I hope all went well, Levin.

thanks skymama. you're sweet. thanks to all of yall for yalls vibes.

-->time lapse<--

my dad called right about the time i started writing this. he had biopsy surgery earlier today. i asked him how it went and he said "welll, it wasn't fun but it wasn't really unpleasant." he said they made two very small holes in his back down into his lungs. thru there they took of few samples of the tumor (about the size of back of his hand). they said since this has to do with lungs they could not give an anesthetic. Instead applied Xylacane as they went. Recovery was suppose to suck but be quick, couple of days. he said he feels fine, just tired and wished there was time tomorrow to escape to spaceland to jump. he has to be back next tuesday to start therapy. That's when we find out what kind of tumor it is. at this moment we still don't know. But he is optomistic and the doctor's are optomistic so I am optomistic. While at the house, lately I've been spending alot more time here in forums. It's helped keep my mind from dwelling on other things. I think that kinda re-focusing of thought to what I am reading may have made me a bit more oppionated than normal. I think that's why maybe i've been posting little more than normal. So, in case anybody was wondering that's whats up with that. but i'll try and tone it down. Thank yall for the good vibes and prayers. He's gonna beat this one just fine. I look forward to seeing him on the next world cancer survivor record, if i can get him to do it.

Levin

Thats Dad Jackson for ya. I have had the great opportunity for Dad to be a guest here at the house. He is quite the interesting guy and I dont doubt for a minute that the biopsy via the back (between a rib?) hurt like hell. He wont say so. (Zylocaine is a local anesthetic, administered just below the skin.)

He is very proud of Levin. Indeed he has good reason. When Dad did the downplane at the AOT boogie that Levin organized, I heard he wouldnt quit talking about it for a long while. At the time he could be heard hollering something but I cant remember what, but what ever it was, it indicated coolness.

I can only just laugh about that one. I can hear him saying that, for sure. He means it, but at the same time laughter is the best medicine.

I can see a lot of Levin in his Dad, or a lot of Dad in Levin. I see where Levin gets his manners. The same thing goes for Ryan, Levins brother. Every member of the family who have stayed here at the house, never fail thank me for the 'hospitality'. Thanks both when going out the door, and a back up response later to be sure I know they appreciate it. Sometimes in the fast paced lives we have, its easy to just let this detail slip on by. Not the Jackson family, they are like fresh air.

That my friends is an East Texas accent. And I dont doubt for a second he means it.

Edited to include what Levin looks like clowing around. When I first downloaded this shot I was thrilled at the great picture of Levin smiling big. Then I looked again, and it made the picture even more great. Levin the Little Shyt.
