Good Thing Gators Don't Fly...

Recommended Posts

I just found this pic from a different board.. Some helicopter guys were talking about it...

"This monster was lying in a culvert near the Orlando airport!"

Yep, monster is right....:o

Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

I was watching that "Stupid Things Caught On Tape" last night... Some guy put his head in a gators mouth and a drop of sweat caused the gator to close it's mouth... (automatic reflex)...

It would have been all over with this gator:S

I've always wonder what would possess someone to do something like that. :S I guess when people get bored they're willing to try anything.

ALways wondered why people would watch a TV show like that or stick their head in a croc's mouth? Having watched that show with TEB last night, I have to wonder why on both counts - :)

Through blue skies and clouds above

Most of the property that the Orlando airport lies on is still original Florida swampland. There are gators like this everywhere. My friends on airport fire dept get called out once in awhile when some unsuspecting construction worker scares one of these monsters up. Except for the noise from the planes and the rare construction work, they live in a paradise - no intruders, no people, just lots of good eating and good swampland.

In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

Hey its FL.. they have been there for millions of years as the oceans have risen and fallen... I started jumping down there and used to see gators scurring away when we would fly over the Everglades.. or over the cooling channels at Turkey Point....it does make landing "out" or a night jump a bit more of an adventure.;)

My roommates daughters live in Tenn. They visit often.

I gave them an inflatable gator to play with in the pool. They asked why I have pool toys and I showed them a tape of an inflatable ride. There was some discussion of gator wrestling and I showed them the gator in the retention pond behind the pool. They took the inflatable down to the pool.

The way the story was related to their mother:
"Mom, Uncle Bill has an alligator in the pond. He has one that he jumps out of airplanes with. We were wrestling with it in the pool."

Phone call from mom: "Ummm...Bill, what the...?"
:D
