They're in Perris for the Deaf World Record dives this week! I'm glad the first deaf people I got to sign with were skydivers..in class we have to attend deaf events.So. if you guys are reading this have a great, safe and successful skydive(s). bigfritz 0 #5 September 9, 2003 I'm an ASL student as well. That'd be cool to meet a deaf skydiver. It'd be fun to try and sign with them while in freefall. The only deaf people I've signed with were two skaters I met at Vans. I saw these two guys signing, so I signed over to them across the skatepark. They saw it, so they skated over and we talked for a bit. It was a cool experience. ------------------------ Freefly, baby.

hooked 0 #7 September 9, 2003 ASL, what a wonderful language. I know some, but when you don't have anyone to practice with, you lose it very fast. My niece was married to a deaf man, they tried to teach the family ASL. Some of us paid attention and tried and some didn't, so....if you can't sign to someone, you don't learn very well. jmpnkramer 0 #8 September 9, 2003 Not to shun the Deaf Gatherings for school but maybe you could ask the teach if you could get credit for signing at the DZ. I mean you would have more to talk about and everything. I Hope I do not sound mean by saying that. I do not want it taken that way. Does anyone know if Billy Vance is there? I have not talked with him in ages. Laters, KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" flyangel2 2 #9 September 9, 2003 I've know John for years. As a certified interpreter for the deaf, he asked me if I want to attend the event and be an interpreter. I told him that I couldn't Gary, give John a hug from me, and wish them all luck. I've meet a few of the jumpers over the years. BTW, I'm Italian, maybe that's why I became an interpreter.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
