quade 4 #1 September 10, 2003 Hmmm, the FCC makes some pretty wierd decisions sometimes. http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/09/09/fcc.stern.ap/index.htmlquade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Deuce 1 #2 September 10, 2003 That does seem wierd. I'd think an entertainment program would not have to give equal time, rather than a news program.
quade 4 #3 September 10, 2003 Hmmm, New York-based Infinity Broadcasting Operations Inc. (aka Viacom/CBS), wants Stern to put actor Arnold Schwarzenegger on the air without having to offer time to the scores of other candidates running for governor in California. So tell me again how there's a left-wing media bias?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Deuce 1 #4 September 10, 2003 Q, in this case I think it's purely a commercial decision. Arny is big box office, even for a political interview. Equal time for McClintock and Bustamante would be death to ratings. Let alone the other 130 also-rans. If it wasn't Arnold I doubt he'd be interviewing any of them. quade 4 #5 September 10, 2003 Perhaps. Then again, if the media really was controlled by the "liberal left", then why would they jump through hoops to give him any time at all?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

I'm surprized he didn't go after the porn actress. That seems to be more his style. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Deuce 1 #7 September 10, 2003 Well, all Republicans aren't "conservative" in the sense that McClintock is a hard core conservative. I think Arnie'll get a good amount of cross-over voters from Democrats. Arnie is good box, and I think most media is revenue-driven, Stern surely is, and that's it.
