FliegendeWolf 0 #1 September 11, 2003 Hey, I was trying to set up a home network, and as I was going through the process, my computer asked me to insert the Windows 98 Second Edition disk so that it could access file vserver.vxd. Having just moved, I can't find the disk anywhere. If anyone happens to have a copy of that disk and could get me in touch with this file, please PM me. Thanks!A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Amazon 7 #5 September 11, 2003 No Tonto in this case its a no brainer...PSS does that sort of thing for customers all the time... BUT they may want to verify the PID Very Satisfied customers are what they strive for. The MS detractors may not believe that... but it is a reality.. there are still even some guys in PSS who support Windows 3.1. Amazon
tictoc 0 #6 September 11, 2003 have it look in C:/windows or C:/windows/system . The files you need are probley on you HD windows 98 just needs to be told were they are. If thouse two places don't work do a serch and you will probly find the files.-------------------------------------------------------- Some one must go to the edge for others to be able to find it. But if you go be sure you can make it back.

jose 0 #9 September 11, 2003 Win 98 is a total POS. I have an unregistered copy of Win Xp Pro if you want it. No rules to be broken here, hence the "unregistered" copy.

No, W98 is not a total POS. It's just a POS. W95 and WME are total POS's. OK, W98 maybe is a total POS, but not W98 SE, which is what he has. Personally, I happen to believe that W XP is THE total POS, since I've had nothing but problems with it on all the 'puters I've worked on. SublimeBreeze 0 #13 September 11, 2003 Windows xp is by far the best operating system that microsoft has put out. XP home edition isn't as good but still better than me and 2000. I work in the computer service and repair and its almost always 2000/ME/98/95 that are the problem. Anyways thats my thoughts.
