skybytch 273 #1 September 9, 2003 Well, I'm not loaded up and truckin' yet, but gettin' real close. Silly rental car company said when I made the reservation two days ago that I could have the van at 8am this morning... they called at 7:15 am to say that it won't be there until 9:30 am. I'm ready to rock here - my bags are packed and piled by the door, I've checked twice to be sure I have everything I might possibly need between now and Xmas, all that's left is to load up and go. Never knew it was possible to be both happy and sad at the same time. I can't wait to get there and I don't want to go.

She called us from Pensacola this evening; will be here in Flagler Beach sometime tomorrow afternoon and then down to Sebastian. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
