Dutchboy 0 #2 July 2, 2001 If you get back to Georgia it won't take you long to run into me and Broken Eagle. I've notice a large portion of Georgia jumpers on this site. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra

Dutchboy 0 #6 July 2, 2001 I was really planning to be down in Thomaston this Saturday, but the weather was crap, so I didn't make the 98 mile drive down there. Yesterday I had to be back home by 5pm, and since the weather was crap in the morning I couldn't make the drive down. I did drive up to Atlanta Air Sportz in Rome yesterday. I didn't have lots of time, but I did get in two jumps. Things are really starting to happen up at that DZ since Ron and Sandor took it over. I even won a free jump from their monthly website drawing. They are going to be open for business Wednesday up in Rome. I'm going to try and break away for a couple of hours from the family stuff and get in a couple more jumps. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
mouth 0 #7 July 2, 2001 2 jumps Sat and 7 Sun. SD ATL is also open on the 4th...otter fumes

Dutchboy 0 #9 July 2, 2001 [sigh] I would love to make it down there Wednesday, but I've got family running into town about 1pm. At least we finally got our suits back from the emroidery shop for our company freefly team. Have to try those suits out soon. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
freaksister 0 #10 July 2, 2001 I plan to go to Rome next week while I am in Georgia...I was told they have an intentional cutaway rig and I want to jump it. Do you know if they still have it, Dutch?sis It isn't brave if you aren't scared...
Dutchboy 0 #11 July 2, 2001 Really?! I didn't know that they had such a rig. I'd talk to Ron rg@airsportz.com to check on that. Now I'm a bit curious. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
mouth 0 #12 July 2, 2001 We used to have one until the Freefly Festival last year when everyone was using it as a swing. If they don't have one then you need to come down to Skydive Atl and jump with us. Not that there is anything wrong with Rome except that it is almost 5 hours for me to drive there....yuck. PalmettoTiger 1 #13 July 3, 2001 QuoteI plan to go to Rome next week while I am in GeorgiaHey, I'm only one state away and always up for a road trip - especially now that I've paid tuition and bought a rig, so I have exactly 83¢ to my name!! Rome is kinda far, though. Anyone interested in meeting at a dropzone NOT west of Atlanta to set a DZ.com Southeastern record (man is that prestigious or what)?EDIT Dowh, just found the other "DZ.com record" thread. Can't make it this week; I'm headed east to the coast and not west to Jawjuh. Oh well... at 12 jumps I'm probably a bit too inexperienced to be part of this attempt anyway. /EDITBlues, Squares,PTiger*insert sub-100 character sig here*Edited by PalmettoTiger on 7/2/01 08:51 PM. mouth 0 #14 July 3, 2001 Skydive Atlanta in Thomaston is available and I'd be honored to jump with ya.......
Dutchboy 0 #15 July 3, 2001 If you're coming down from SC then Rome is on the other side of the state up I-75. If you just keep on going down I-85 through Atlanta where it runs with I-75 and then continue on I-75 about 40 miles you'll be at Thomaston (Skydive ATL).They've got a nice Super Otter. If you don't get to jump with Mouth, you'll be certain to at least hear her. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
Dutchboy 0 #16 July 3, 2001 Oh, yeah, that "swing" does look a bit strange.Yeah, don't think Rome would be a good option for you coming from Dublin. Besides, at the moment they are using Cessnas. I might have to go back to Dublin (the real one) in a couple weeks. Would be cool. 'Course I'd have to jump out of their Cessnas. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
mouth 0 #17 July 3, 2001 The plane snob aint doing a cessna. Sorry. Anyone interested in jumping anytime this week let me know I can be at Skydive Atlanta in an hour and a half....I speed. I am going to pack my rig today so I can be ready. As for you west coasters, you may have larger DZ's but I'm partial to mine course I would love to come visit and have you guys come visit too. HUM....think about coming for the Freefly Festival. Free coaching for FF and RW, entertainment, food, lots of people and fun. I think it may turn into another large party like last year. Wonder what we can break this year??
Dutchboy 0 #18 July 3, 2001 The FFF was awesome last year. I'm sure this year will be even better. It's in November which is a great time for those of you from colder places to visit. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
