What A Family We Have, and how lucky we are to be in it!!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I dont want this to sound sappy but I guess there's no way around it.

For the past few weeks there have been some pretty outrageous posts in here that I have read and I'm sure most of you have too. I find it amazing that in today's rat race, rush, rush, rush world that you all have found time to help people with everything from gear selection to personal problems to contemplating suicide as well as offering a person a place to stay instead of sleeping in their car. It just makes me proud to be a member of a "family" such as this. Now when whuffo's ask me why I skydive, I'll just look at them, smile and say "Well, I'm just part of one fun HUGE family"

Thanks to everyone

So true. I remember telling my whuffo freinds at work when i was flying to mardi gras to get picked up at the airport by someone i had never met before. I told them it was no big deal cause a skydiver was picking me up. I felt completely safe knowing kreg was getting me from the airport and giving me a place to stay while i was there. Same with eloy last year. Skydivers are just frickin cool!!!

As one of the recipients of advice and support, all I can say is thanks folks. Really. I may not have all the answers, but there are folks who can help me find more to choose from, and remind me that I don't have to have all the answers. Or even know what hte question is.

I think I would feel safe offering a place to stay to any skydiver who was coming to Seattle. Most of the people on here are fairly decent people I have yet to meet a single DZ. Com person in person who I felt uncomfortable around. I only live 10 miles from my little DZ so its not like its a destination DZ like FL or AZ or CA.. but we do have some of the most AWSUM scenery of anyplace I have jumped in this country.

People here on DZ.Com are very helpful and kind.. now if I could just stay out of the politcal threads....:P

Dude, you'll say this only til i get my arse to the US and pee on your tent in my drunkeness. Which I'll do right after I show you my bare white buttocks with print over 'em saying "Game Over - Insert Coins(s)'.

Then you'll start wondering.
