Anyone know how to dial to a City in Brasil?

can someone help me because i have an old friend i used to climb mountains in Brasil 10 yrs ago near Rio de Jinero.......I like to dial him and but he lives in Sao Paulo Brasil and i have his number but i don't know how to dial phone numbers internationally......Anyone knows because i don't use phones alot since i go mountain climbing and work as a officer in NYC....I have my friend's phone number here but what do i need to dial to get to him?????

To dial Brasil from the United States, first dial 011 (to get out of the country), then 55 (the Brasil country code), then (11) city code for S. Paulo, then his phone number.

I PM'd it with the phone number itself (it's not a good idea to post private phone numbers).

What's a PM? Look at the upper left hand side of the screen -- where everything is white and blue, except where it say

1 New Messages (the background is a darker blue, so the Messages is easier to see)
