Blockbuster (those bastards, don't ever rent anything from them!) hit mine for some insanely ridiculous amount for a video that they said wasn't returned. We knew for a fact it was returned, and a Blockbusted employee admitted to me that it was back; seems they had people who weren't scanning the videos back in when they were supposed to.

I contacted my bank and started a claim within minutes of hanging up on the dumbshits at Blockbuttheads. I had the money back in my account within a couple of days - they put it back in while they investigated my claim - and the bank also removed an overdraft charge that happened because of the fraudulent charge.

And that was Wells Fargo, which imho is a crappy excuse for a bank in every other way.

Yeah Blockbuster sucks ass. I work in a small movie store called Movie Madness (Blockbuster's right across the street) and we get a fair amount of business. We also run a late list every morning for any past due movie, then we scour the store for each movie on the list to make SURE that the customer still has it. Then we call every person on the list to notify them that their movies are past due. Blockbuster could learn a thing or two.
