AggieDave 6 #1 September 13, 2003 Hooked up a nifty new demo from PD today, but only got to do 2 jumps on it. The first was a cloud induced H&P from 2.5k, although the second is what I wanted, a clear and pull from 11k so I could play and start learning the canopy. Except for tandem jumps, tomorrow all I'm going to do are clear and pulls, atleast 5 of them, so I can really start learning how the canopy feels. Oh, its a Vengence 150, mega fun. Since I want to put a few more jumps on it before I start working up my front riser carves, I did a nice and easy 110-ish deg toggle carve for landing today. That with a little harness shift and I came out of the sky fast, although I only got about 150ft of swoop. I'm being safe with the new toy, but I'm still having a freak'n BLAST! Ok, just had to share, since I still have a smile on my face. skydiverbrian 0 #4 September 13, 2003 Nice canopy. How's the opening? I've heard the opening is a ride in itself. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
AggieDave 6 #5 September 13, 2003 The openings are nice, on heading if you pay attention in the harness, soft too. Pds: nope, not 2.1, its 4.6:1 j/k. 1.9:1.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #9 September 15, 2003 QuoteHow's the opening? I've heard the opening is a ride in itself. Ok, now that I've been able to jump it for a weekend, here's a better answer then my first. It opens very soft, but you definately have to fly the openings. I've found that it tends to dive if it opens off heading and that sometimes after a nice snivel it'll "pop" open the rest of the way. Its not a hard pop, but its quick enough to send the slider down to your risers at a good clip. Let me reword that...it comes down at a good thumb/finger bruising painfully speed. As long as you fly the openings, then it seems to do fine, although I've only had the chance to put something like 7 or 8 jumps on it so far, my opinion may change again. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
