jmpnkramer 0 #1 September 14, 2003 Once again I have to shout out an accomplishment of a new individual in the sport. On Saturday September 13 SkydiveNFlorida(Angela) did a 16-Point 4-Way with only 29 Jumps. We went out on a 4-Way that went bust and the little lady was discouraged. I was able to convice her to give it one more try and erveything went beautiful. The exit came off clean and the smile was on! You have never seen someone smile so much. That dive changed her whole attitude and made her day. It also had me very happy for her. This young woman has some definite potential. I hope I get to watch her grow into the sport. Allrighty everyone. Let's give this young lady some attention for a job well done. Blue Skies in Florida, KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! jmpnkramer 0 #9 September 14, 2003 Hey there Skybytch. Glad to hear you made it safe. How long did it take you? No we did not have video but those of us on the dive do not have anything to prove. The little woman worked hard and deserves the credit. the three of us were very impressed with the dive. As a matter of fact we all looked at the alti's b/c we figured we had to be getting low. That is how smooth the dive went. Just remember where the cig butts go! It's just that when I saw how awesome freeflying is, I didn't want to go back to my belly. I've actually been talking to Carl Dougherty about learning some more of that RW stuff pretty soon.....but that's so I can fly more slots on hybrids. QuoteShe like SunnyDee123 wants to be well rounded. Lol....let's find out how many RW jumps Sunnydee has compared to Freefly jumps before you use her as an example to put me down! Galen 0 #11 September 14, 2003 Nice job. Sorry you got bummed out from the first one but glad you got to see (do) how good it can be. Gotta admit there were some exciting things that happened on that jump that went bust. It was still a good time. Gotta love z-hills.
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #12 September 14, 2003 QuoteOn Saturday September 13 SkydiveNFlorida(Angela) did a 16-Point 4-Way with only 29 Jumps. Wow...that sounds too good to be true! I'll take your word for it, though, and congratulate Angela! Jmpnkramer, could you please explain in detail in another post what exactly this skydive was that you all did, including the exit? I am VERY interested to know of any 4-way skydives that could be done by a talented novice. What was her slot? Also, what altitude did you all exit and where did you break off? Had she done many serious 2-ways before? Was it done in the boxman or mantis, etc? Angela is one majorly talented skychick! QuoteJust b/c no-one wanted to work with you on flying skills and you went to the dark side. Wow, that is quite insult to Skymama and freeflyers, in general. Andrea loves freeflying, but it doesn't mean that she could not have been a great belly flyer if she had chosen to pursue that. She is obviously wanting Angela to try freeflying so that she could share in her love of the dark side...that is all. The friends that I made in skydiving early on, were freeflyers. They and I assumed that I would love freeflying, but then I realized that I love RW and want to pursue that discipline instead. That doesn't mean that it was because no one wanted to work with me on FF skills. QuoteShe like SunnyDee123 wants to be well rounded. Sunnydee is a wonderfully nice person, but how on earth is she better-rounded than Skymama? They both primarily freefly, right? Anyway, no matter what discipline Angela pursues, it is completely HER own decision if she decides that she wants to FF some day, instead of belly fly. Edited to add: WOW! Congratulations to Galen, too! To do a 16 point 4-way with his realtively few jumps is also quite an achievement!
