BoogieBob 0 #1 September 14, 2003 0:3:0 I'll start this thread since I'm home drinking beers and watching football now. Oh, and all you Raeford folks are welcome for the super-terrific-happy-chow-landing demonstrations I put on today (two of them). I think EVERYONE on the dropzone saw those landings. I heard some gratuitous and gleeful chow-barking hollored in my direction (yes, Chuck...I heard you). Kate/Tony...send me a bill for the real estate which I left the DZ with. From the looks of my container I took a fair amount of it with me when I left today.
Brains 2 #2 September 14, 2003 0:0:1 So i left Wednesday to go to dallas and the weather sucked so i didn't jump. I come home only to find a thread about me started while i was gone and couldn't defend myself. That was the first time that happened so i will pay but there are certain people who may not have a beer. anyway, carry on. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you. skybytch 273 #3 September 14, 2003 1 new job started:0:0 I hate being rigless. I had my rig shipped up to Kelly at VSE so he could make it pretty again, and I had my suits and helmet shipped to me here... and none of it has arrived yet. Oh well, I can't afford to jump until I get a paycheck anyway.

Push 0 #8 September 14, 2003 1:3:1 One Safire-2 149 demoed. Damn that's a sweet canopy. A lot more get-up-and-go than the Triathlon, but so much flare and glide that it's a no-brainer to fly. I'm sold already, now all I need is to get the money. Heh. 3 hop and pops from a C182 playing with the canopy. 1 sweet little puffy carved through at about 3000'. That was an absolutely amazing feeling, entering a cloud. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. Jib 0 #9 September 14, 2003 0:3:0 Damn clouds! Gawain 0 #11 September 14, 2003 0:4:0 ...and not before time! I was going crazy. For anyone who gets grounded for a spell, it's like riding a bike. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Amazon 7 #12 September 14, 2003 :8:0 Friday I did an AWSUM 4 way with a TM and a tandem guy who is disabled , on a sunset load. His legs work so well after an accident and he gets around on crutchs but is a GREAT guy... but he flew it and the TM was just there for the drogue toss and the landing gear. IT FREAKIN ROCKED.. I VERY rarely do 4 way. The Tandem Master is VERY experienced with over 10000 jumps so he just sat back and let the guy fly while the other 3 of us docked on the Tandem and we got video... we even managed a second point. Round to diamond.. So ok.. I can turn a couple points without getting dizzy.. maybe I will go for 3 points one of these days. Saturday, Clear blue not a cloud in the sky.. Long drive to Kapowsin... WOW.. from altitude you can see ALL of the Cascade Strato-Volcanoes in Washington from altitude.. Baker, Glacier, Raineir Goat Rocks, Mt Adams, My St. Helens, and even Mt Nood in Oregon. 6 jumps from the OTTER.. Rockin....Sunset freefly load from 15,500... SWEET. Sunday.. Clouds rolled in and we had to come back down thru the clouds... to get a 7 k jump.. RATS.. Summer is officially over in Washington I guess... Its time to take the Amazon show on the road... 2 weeks..Byron Boogie New Years....Eloy Where else.. I guess we will see if the other side of the mountains is hospitable for a few weeks.. Sun and Blue Skies is a good thing. Amazon

Stacy 0 #14 September 15, 2003 1 awesome party sat night:3:1 planned to do lots of jumps this weekend. my gear had other plans. had a chop on jump #3 on sat afternoon- streamering ball of crap with line twists. had to deal with that, getting my stuff back and then of course was rigless for the rest of the day. took some time to calm down, janine let me borrow her rig to get back in teh air, but clouds rolled in and our 5way scratched. good thing too, that load pretty much all came down with the plane. storms rolled in and it was oh-beer-thirty. bought my case and drank it too. partied a bit too much last night and spent teh morning discussing mimosas and bloody marys with some other jumpers. made the nasty long drive home, repacked gear in tow. thanks jodi for getting it back together for me by the morning! __
PhreeZone 20 #15 September 15, 2003 1 more DZ.commer met:9:1 Met RDutch this weekend as he was up packing for FastTrax. He feel asleep at the table at TGIF's on Saturday night Did a little of everything this weekend. Did a lot of freefly, did some wingsuit and a tandem too. Beer is owed for first self induced mal/first rear riser landing. I ended up knotting my toggle to my riser when I went to undo my breaks. Aimed for the middle of a bean field since its soft and stood it up. Different flareing like that. Thanks BillVon for pushing people to learn that skill. It saved me from a chop Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

CanuckInUSA 0 #17 September 15, 2003 0:11:1 No humps ... Eleven jumps including ten made on my brand spanking new Crossfire2 139 which I absolutely loved. Oh of my ten jumps made on my Crossfire2, I stood them all up (some of which were some nice swoops) and I didn't pull below 6k all weekend but instead choosing to dog fight with friends and/or hunt down Tandems or AFF Students under canopy. Beer owed and paid for jumping my first fully elliptical canopy. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Unstable 9 #20 September 15, 2003 2 - 3 Including a Demo into an air show at Herrington - Since it is an old DZ from a few years back, It wasn't a problem as far as safety or FAA regs went. It was kinda cool to see how all the little Cub Scouts Running around really thought jumping was the coolest thing they had ever seen!! Other than that, just some more jumps for the books!=========Shaun ==========

mouth 0 #22 September 15, 2003 :: My usual lately. I had a nice weekend spent with Coconut Monkey on his way to FL (Watch out Deland and Z Hills) and my girls. I do plan on changing that middle number next week though cause I sent both rigs to my rigger for repacks, new shorter risers on my Saber2, a D ring instead of a pillow on my Javelin and a general cleaning on both rigs. I plan on being at the DZ next Sat and at least getting a few jumps in before my arm is totally drained. I HATE being grounded. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
Dumpster 0 #23 September 15, 2003 0:0:0 Suckass weather, so we sent the Casa away, and spent the rest of the late afternoon and evening doing the most sensible thing - drinking. I also did some constructive things and ordered my IRM and finished filling out the paperwork for my D license, which will be getting faxed in Monday. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll have my Coach rating, too, and I'll have met two more personal goals for the year. Partied most of the night Saturday, wound up at a local hotel in the whirlpool with eight other jumpers and some rather confused tourists, then crashed at a friends' house. I've needed a night like that for a long time! Easy Does It
