Keep on dancin'!

Recommended Posts

The last dance session I participated in I learned all about ballet (again.) My muscles ached, I loved the music, my teacher was wonderful, and I had a great time.

This session I decided to stir things up a bit. I took belly dancing! I've only had a few classes, but I am hooked...even though I look like a fool! It's also fun learning completely new things. For example, last night we started learning how to dance with a veil! It feels so much more feminine than any other form of dance as well. I love how belly dancing celebrates a woman's hips!

I don't understand how my teacher can actually move like she does, but it's rather intriguing. She said something about 8 years of practice when I asked her how to do it. Bah!

I highly recommend taking belly dancing courses for any woman (or man) who wants to take up dancing. I love the music, the moves, costumes, and everything else to it. I love how it's a style of dance where you can be any body shape and still look amazing while performing. For those in Chicago, here's a link for more info about classes:

If you're not in Chicago, look it up!
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
