For this reason, skydivers are advised to add at least 30 minutes to the airline's recommended arrival window." Sounds like the thirty minutes they advise adding is plenty of time for you to pack your main and your reserve on the floor of an airport. Wonder if they'll have pull-up cords handy... mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. More to the point, they won't even let you on the plane with T-bodkins and temp pins, both of which I need to repack the reserve in my Reflex.

I know you're kidding, but on the off chance that anybody out there doesn't: This is not a good idea. Let's not create an incident and screw up something we have so carefully put in place. Yup, you're definitely going to be a parent soon -- I can hear the maturity now You're right, too. The more matter-of-fact and respectable people are, the more the TSA will eventually realize that reserve parachute containers have, well, reserve parachutes in them. First time I flew with my rig (about 4 years ago). Mr. I have and ego rentacop pulled the reserve. Broke his nose and I got 60$ cash to get the reserve repacked from his supervisor. btw, I did explain to him that there's a really big ass spring right here, but he pulled it anyway... lippy 918 #12 September 18, 2003 Please spare the 'Blame Canada' jokes that normally follow this sort of post. Transport Canada considers Cypres to be a dangerous item, not allowed on an airliner as carry-on or checked. Where is this documented? I've flown in and out of YVR on several occasions, and Toronto a couple times and never had a problem. In fact, I've only even been questioned once. lippy 918 #15 September 18, 2003 I'm not sure about documentation, but when I was booking a ticket a couple months ago I asked about taking my rig as carry-on. They said it was fine as long as there wasn't an AAD, cause those things have an explosive in them. Legally, if you're flying in/out of Canada, you can't have a Cypres on the plane.I got nuthin

It's generally a good rule of thumb to keep your mouth shut. Do you think the guy two rows back asked in advance about the plastic utensils he has in his carry-on?
