Windtunnel math

So some coworkers and I got into a discussion about windtunnels (because of that auction on ebay) and we started talking about the details of how it would work out. I'm hoping someone can point me to some technical information that might help us figure out how much surface area people have, how much wind you need to keep from being diced by the fan, etc. Thanks!

Back of a napkin.

For 16ft diameter tunnel
Velocity = 120-155 mph.
Volume = 2,112,000 cubic feet per minute - 2728000 cfm

Static pressure (water colum) range 18" - 50".

What we would actually do is use a program to compute the fluid dynamics of this.

Someone familiar with the tunnel in Bragg please help...

When I flew in this one, the wind speed was 127-135 mph (I think.) I seem to remember looking at a meter or something. (It's been quite a few years since I've been there.)

The fans at Bragg are in the lower portion. Same for the tunnel at Pigeon Forge.

PS. They have a heavy duty metal springy screen over the fans...there would have to be a significant accident in order to get diced up.
