TheAnvil 0 #1 September 25, 2003 ....even if you really hate Ann Coulter. Like a lot of her writings, you have to filter out some of the venom. But - like her latest book Treason - don't let her venom get in the way of the point she is making. I find these incidents described in the article troubling in so many respects it's hard to really even begin to pass on my thoughts. If the ACLU really lived up to its charter, they would have become involved in almost all of them. http://www.anncoulter.orgVinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! PhillyKev 0 #2 September 25, 2003 Agreed. Schools should neither require any religious based activities nor restrict people from practicing them. The ACLU does do a lot of good. But they often take sides on issues in favor of one type of regulation instead of another. What they should do is oppose any type of regulation over things like religion, speech, etc.
rehmwa 2 #3 September 25, 2003 I really enjoyed Slander by Ann C. Haven't read Treason yet. Right up to, but not including the last 2 pages which went essentially as follows (paraphrase) "Liberals, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them." My brother-in-law is an ex-hippie from the Woodstock era - I'm thinking of giving him a copy for Christmas.... ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
txblondie 0 #4 September 25, 2003 Thanks, good article. Actually, I think it's all her venom and fiesty wording that makes her material worth reading. Of course, she makes a good point, and I do agree with her, but it just makes it all the more enjoyable to read with her sarcasm. I'm still trying to get through Treason (I'm not good with reading non-fiction, but my boyfriend presented it as a good read, so I'm trying) and so far I like it...I think Ann has a good head on her shoulders. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun! txblondie 0 #6 September 25, 2003 My problem with her is that I don't think she's trying to be sarcastic. And see, the difference is, I don't care whether she is or not, because I think she has a point! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
