Which is worse?

Recommended Posts

Seeing these threads leads me to this question.

I've been in both situations.

I think that my current one, where there's been months of great weather but no money to jump is worse than all those bad weather days I had when I was fiscally irresponsible.

Convince me otherwise...

Not being able to jump, no matter what sucks. But at least if you have $$ you can go drink your sorrows away. Or shop, or bowl or something else stupid that fills time.

There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear.

There's Lots and Lots of ways I can spend money when I'm not jumping.

In fact, a more accurate description might be 'there's lots of things I DON'T spend money on when I jump'.

Further, you've not considered the nasty consequences of Seasonal Affective Disorder in climates like mine where jumping from November to mid-April means 1) snow and 2) either 2 hours of daylight, mostly obscured by cloud or 8 hours of sun and minus farkin 43!! It makes us do silly things like winter jump and para-ski

;)

I'm not scared to hop n pop ... I actually quite like it ... gives me lots of practise at high performance landing an 11 year old Raven at 1:1 ...God help me when I have money for a REAL canopy
