PhreeZone 20 #29 September 29, 2003 Need to update it to 20 Minutes spent looking for Wrongway:2:0 Tandem and a Hop an pop. Tandem girl had me in stitches under canopy. Notible quotes "Where are you?", " Did the parachute open?" "I can't feel my nose" "Is it normal to hear the wind?" "Can you get us down from here faster with out doing the flipy turn things?" and my favorite.... jceman 1 #32 September 29, 2003 Quote1:2:3 (100th):0 Weekend started on Thursday.. Nice surprise! Third jump on Sat was my 100th. A 5 point 12 way (we actually made the first three points) Awesome weekend! For the umpteenth time (and for the newbies), the format for weekend numbers is humps:jumps:beer owed. The first number may be substitued with any other number of significance as long as you explain it. In your case, the numbers would read?:6:1, as you owe beer for your 100th jump (at the very least). Mine? 0:0:0. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
Push 0 #33 September 29, 2003 0:1:2 One jump while picking up my first freefly suit. The suit looks absolutely schweet, pics WILL be posted when I have some. I made one jump at Frontier Skydivers while waiting for the person who had my suit to wake up. Really friendly folks, NY is beautiful from the air. TaeKwonDoDo 0 #34 September 29, 2003 1:2:0 1 Hour - spent by me talking to the ST&A at a new (to me) Drop Zone, for "allegedly " pulling too low - hey, the watch said 4K when I started tracking, but someone who opened before me (it was the DZO) said they didn't see my bag out till 2.5K. Wasn't going to argue - take the constructive criticism (which was done well, I might add) and move on. 2: My regular DZ was fogged out so late in the day I tried Adventure Center on the way home (it's acutually closer to me than SMB): 1 from 14K, and a sunset hop-and-pop (nice). 0: No beer this weekend (unless the pre-second jump at a different drop zone counts). - Jeff "That's not flying, it's falling with style." Ron 10 #36 September 29, 2003 2:2:2:19:1:1:1 Two teams. (Mr. Pink and FLAir) Two Slots. (Tail and OC) Two different draws (AAA, and A) 19 competition jumps. (10 with Pink, 9 with Flair) 1 Bronze with a 13.3 in AAA. 1 Silver with Flair. 1 very tired skydiver. There were jumps that I didn't even get to creep the first day. I'd land from one, and someone would be standing there with a second rig for me to get back on the plane. The second day was better, I only had one back to back. Pink could have done better if I was only jumping with them, but they are a very solid team, and I am impressed with them. Brains 2 #37 September 29, 2003 0:11:0 I am thoroughly convinced that first number will not change Had a great weekend, weather was beautiful. Did a demo into a waterski park and landed on their island on Sat. and they asked us to come do it again on Sun. so we did. Hit my 500th on 1st load Sunday morning. Jessica even drove up to the dz just for the first load so she could be on it Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
pd190 0 #38 September 29, 2003 0:7:1 0 - SO didn't make it out this weekend, so the big fat goose egg stands. 7 - Got some really good jumping in this weekend. 1 tracking dive, 2 bird man's (Yes, I am now fully addicted to nylon crack), 1 video of tandem just for fun, 1 tandem, 1 FF jump with some guys to practice my sit (which I held surprisingly well), and a three way w/ 6 points just for giggles. 1 - one case owed for my first nylon crack jump!!! The beach was rockin as usual! The weather turned out to be really good. Had some good winds on Sunday, but it was all good. DZO is ready to finish the interior of the new facilities, so it looks like most of the winter will be spent in construction mode. (Can't wait!) One fun jump at Zhills (I think I qualified for a funnel fish, not sure since it was a borderline funnel)....I'm starting to wonder why they call it the Sunshine State - I haven't seen it that much while I've been there this summer. selbbub78 0 #41 September 29, 2003 0:0:5:0 Weather was poor here on the east coast thursday and friday (my weekend started thursday). Saturday took the scott miller canopy control course and did one hop n pop naked (i really like those naked jumps), sunday the weather sucked, around 3PM started drinking, then of course it started to clear up, no jumps on sunday though.
