But what's perhaps more amazing is that the Times, ABC News and the rest of the mainstream press ran wih a bogus story they knew could severly damage Schwarzenegger's reputation without verifying the poisonous quote.

Not really! Some of these web sites are, um, way freekin' right of center and not exactly highly regarded journalistic tomes without bias!

GoGov.com is affiliated with KFI, which cracked me up this morning to no end. KFI's Bill Handel was bitching and moaning about bias at the L.A. Times and then proceeded to say that Bustamante was going to have to go to Mexico to cast his vote. Hmmm, KFI/FoxNews . . . bias . . . nawww . . . just outright racism.

So, technically he -did- say he admired Hitler! We all assumed the quote went on (at least I did) and probably wasn't -quite- as bad in context, but as I said at the very beginning of this mess, he was stupid for saying it IN ANY CASE.

Chatscribe restates the NewsMax article but at least has a banner at the bottom of the page that shows its bias "Ring of Conservative Sites".

Signonsandiego didn't seem to have the story in any form. Maybe I just missed it, but I don't think so.

I'd still like to see the NYT article.

Don't get bent out of shape.

Just replying in general not specifically to your statement but rather to the web sites listed. edited to add I think a lot of times people misunderstand my being pissed off or amused by an article is somehow my way of ridiculing the person that posted it. Usually that's not the case. Usually I just want to point out the stupidity in or of the article itself.

Also, this thread moves pretty fast sometimes and browsing all those sites took a bit o' time!
